Lee made it perfectly clear why we pulled our offer. Reason being while the offer was available the money is committed if the offer is accepted. We pull the offer therefor uncommitting the money and making it available to sign other players e.g Moylan. Always stating we are open to reopening negotiations with Latrell. So long as noone else signs first and taking up a portion of the money. As it stands the money is still available as no one else has signed for us all that is required to reopen our negotiations is for Larrell or his management to make the first move as a sign of genuine desire to come to the Tigers. I fail to see how that is poor management. Latrell was stalling for whatever reason there was no advancement in his signing we stated we were still interested but had to move on.

Exactly this.

Guess the question I have is .......did Luciano Leilua sign for free ??

I cannot wait to see the offical west tigers post on there website haha god I hope this happens been a long months haha

Clarkey lost all my respect last week
He posted that medical retirements are going to ruin the Nrl,purely based on the possibility of the south’s stealing arrow.
After he copped a few negative comments he back tracked and more or less apologised.
Stick to your guns mate 😎

So you used to respect someone on Facebook you've no idea who he is?

I don't think you know what respect is

I’ll rephrase
He lost some credibility in MY opinion, with his post about medical retirements ?
Is that better my dude?
Maybe I don’t know what respect is ?

Fingers crossed we know one way or the other soon. Imo he is a once in a generational player and I'm glad the club is trying there best to get him

What I find interesting is that we pulled our offer because we have more irons in the fire.....but we are yet to see, apart from Leilua, anything else of any substance......
My impression would have been that ok we've pulled our offer and we have now made offers to X,Y,Z.....
Still haven't heard anything....

I think we have tried to get other players and they have all said no haha so latrell is our beat option we tried to get drinkwater Moylan and Milford and didn’t have any success with any of them

New post from the forgotten man on Facebook explaining everything I don’t know how to post but looks like we are the front runners again

EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT

Latrell Mitchell’s priority this whole time has been to play with the Roosters for 2020, explore his options and test his market value and make a decision at the end of the year for 2021 which he is perfectly entitled to do so.

However, all this changed when the Roosters pulled the 800k a year offer and as of yesterday officially let him know there was 0% chance he wears the tri colours beyond 2020 which understandably brought him to tears as he has been apart of the club since he was 15.

Latrell Mitchell had actually verbally agreed to terms with the Wests Tigers roughly a fortnight ago as there is interest in joining the club.... however had a change of heart and wanted to get the confirmation from the Roosters face to face about there contract offer before he did anything official.

When the Wests Tigers learned of Latrell backing off and taking his time with the process, they had pulled there offer (with no ill will towards Latrell) more just so they had the flexibility to sign other players if they had decided to do so

During the meeting with uncle nick, Latrell had brought up how he felt stressed and the reality of him moving forward became real this led Nick Politis to call the chairman of the Wests Tigers on behalf of the Wests Tigers in order to see where the stance on was with the contract offer and if they were willing to bring it back - in which Lee (chairman) agreed too on behalf of the club

Now at this point, discussion between Latrell and the Wests Tigers are back on and who knows what will happen next

At this point it looks set, barring an introduction of a surprise team which seems unlikely - the romance between Latrell and the Wests Tigers looks set to be official sooner rather than later!

i was under the assumption and i may be wrong that luciano was signed using the money from Matterson. Latrells money is coming from Matulino retirement and Masters release. Could be wrong though.

This narrative makes the most sense to me.

Sounds plausible...agreed to terms and wanted to go back and see if the Roosters still wanted him because he was stressed about moving on from where it all began.

He'll be a Tiger in 2020 lads...

You’re clutching if you still want to claim he never wanted to come here because he wanted to stay at the Roosters. If his first preference was to stay at the Roosters, big deal. Most players would rather stay at their current club. You think Reynolds was happy about having to leave the Dogs? We know how much it took for Farah to leave our club. But when Reynolds came here and Farah went to Souths, could you question their commitment?

How does this have any more credibility than any other speculation posted so far?

The forgotten man guy has been pretty spot on in the past, especially with WT news.

Because people want to believe it...
