aren't there reservations about practically every player when signing for another club?
Realistically, you think the roosters weren't on edge about another huge injury to tedesco's knee when they signed him? there are no guarantees in regards to this

If we're taking a genuine sceptical approach, every contract every player signs is only ever one tackle away from being ruinous.

Hall is no saint either. I don't have a lot of time for blokes that dogshot on the field, but I don't think I've ever heard Hall appoint himself as the moral arbiter for the AFL while engaging in such conduct.

That being said, I would love to see Hall floor Gallen, he is an absolute flea.

@GNR4LIFE Gallen is spruiking for Cronulla. If Mitchell leaves Roosters there will be a very strong pitch from Roosters to Xerri to join them as replacement for Mitchell.

I've noticed that Gallen just likes sticking the boot into the Tigers generally. He tries to keep up the narrative that we're bottom of the pile so that if the club relocation fairy comes knocking it won't land at his scandal-ridden club's door.

Hall is a grub in his own way I guess, but has nothing on Gallen. Doesn't run his mouth like Gallen does. And he wasn't a cheat.

So Billy Smith won't be replacing Mitchell..?

Buzz's latest column that suggests the Roosters may go after Xerri. Do agree with him about the contracts and managers though - but all clubs are taking advantage of it.

Of course the Roosters are going to replace Mitchell with a young gun, not a kid that's hardly shown anything. Gallen's obviously in a panic lol.

Watch him pull the loyalty card, conveniently forgetting all the years he was on top dollar at the Sharks.

@Telltails I get it that many on this forum don't rate O'Farrell all that much and I sympathise to some extent but he spoke sense in Rothfield's column. Where a contract is broken my mutual consent I have no problem with players jumping ship before a contract ends. In Matterson's case, however, WT did not initially want him to go. It was only when he behaved like a douche that we said good riddance. I suspect Parramatta and Matterson's agent were both involved in inducing him to break his contract and neither party will suffer any consequences for it. And the NRL will keep it's head in the sand and pretend there's nothing wrong with the system. There is, the system is seriously cracked if not broken.

I note Paul Gallen has entered the discussion telling Latrell he might cost himself money if he leaves Easts. I'll admit my bias up front in that I simply can't stand Gallen. To me he is a complete knob with a huge mouth. But, his argument that Latrell could be better off staying at Easts is typical of his attempts to keep himself in the media. I wonder whether Moses Mbye would agree having made the Queensland SOO team this year while playing at the Tigers. Ryan Matterson is another who got a lot closer to NSW SOO selection playing at Wests than he ever did at Easts and probably should have been picked for games 2 and 3. Both these players would have increased their earnings playing at our club. Admittedly Mybe wasn't as Easts but my point is that being at Wests Tigers does not preclude you from playing SOO or Test football. God I hope Barry Hall cleans Gallen up when they fight.

The rep career of one Mr Woods shows that.

Can anyone tell me where he fits on the famed plodder scale? 😉

@BalmainJnr Australian International, NSW representative and 2 time premiership winner. I'm sure that will add up to something.

Please don’t post things like this. I’m trying really hard to lower my expectations and to expect the worse as most WT fans do but this just give hope.

3rd hand news, but apparently Mitchell staying at Roosters...

Source is one of the players girlfriends...don't know who.

I have no links to either the Roosters or Tigers so take the above with a grain of salt.
