@Tweed_Tiger The arrogance on there is nauseating. God I hate roosters fans.

Funniest thing I read on there was someone whinging that he is failing to honour the club that developed him and gave him the opportunity to play rep football and sign a million dollar contract.

Jeez the hypocrisy, they must have forgotten where Tedesco, Keary, Cronk, Crighton and all there biggest name players came from.

Well we have MG backing us as a good landing spot for Latrell.

First time I have ever heard Geyer talk sense. And... our new chairman is going to be hands on!! I’m impressed!

I find it interesting as the Chairman's role is not traditionally a hands on role!

@trentrunciman Mbye was showing promise as a centre. He has pace and is good defensively. With Mitchell at the back, I think Mbyes game will also come on. I would definitely keep Mbye.

The salt in the chookpen is at an all time high, great read. They cant believe he would even consider this club, if he doesn't come to the Tigers a Souths move would send them into meltdown. :joy:

It is a good read, they also complain about the Broncos massive advantage with TPAs

Geez that’s a bit rich coming from the TPA kings!

Great to see them stewing for once in their lives. Now they know how every other club feels when they’ve raided them of their elite players.

They aren't the TPA kings. They are the kings at under the table payments.

I'm thinking post career work ......the NRL can't do anything or prove anything

I think we really have the beginnings of a Politis. I liked Go - she was real and honest and sensible. But Lee is passionate as well. He’s a Tiger. It’s in his blood. He wants success for the same reasons we want it. I’m sold on him and I’m excited.

@cochise I think that this is the first Chairman we've ever had who is actually passionate about The Tigers rather than passionate about themselves having a Title that he or she can toss around at Cocktail Parties. This guy is The Real Deal and LM will make our Club a Success! It happened at Richmond in Melbourne Folks. Perennial 9th Placed Team - Now 2 outta 3 time Premiers thanks to Topline Mgt & Player Roster built on Coach Needs. Tom Lynch - Latrell Mitchell

I'm Excited!

@cochise Like most leadership roles it is dependent on the individual .. I find it very refreshing that the New chair wants to be hands on ... Politis is and a driving force . I have been waiting a long time for someone like this .. our club from day one has been rudderless and floundering around ... hopefully now some real vision to unlock the massive potential that many of us know is waiting to be tapped
.

IF the reports are true and LM comes at $2.7M over 3 years - Unbelieveable - Fantastic! But we need to back him up with some other good signings - we need 2 forwards and an outside back as well.
LM can't do it all for us - a few seasons ago we lacked any attacking variation and ended up throwing the ball to Teddy in the hope he could do something. In the end he tried too hard, too often and I believe that lack of support contributed to his moving on. Look at Teddy in a side where that responsibility is shared and he is relieved of the pressure of carrying the whole team. The same thing happened years ago to Benji when we had no decent half or fullback. You could argue that Latrell at the Roosters and Latrell at the Tigers may not be the same player unless we have a team that can step up to his level.
Winning consistently in the NRL still requires angry, mobile, big guys paving the way across the ad line and standing up to everything the opposition throws at you. We need a couple of those guys as well!

Absolutely. Unfortunately we had one and he didn't like us... we desperately need to replace that running backrower so we can offer up as many threats in attack as possible.

Personally, was a bit disappointed with the running aspect of Matterson's game this year. Of course the rest of his game was good, but a lot of that was in the middle and Garner had him well and truly covered line running wise once he got past the loss of his father.

Agree totally about Garner, he was running excellent lines, and easily better than Lawrence now. So that's definitely an upgrade in the making.

The aspect that sets Matterson apart is his size, ability to break a tackle and ball play, that type of threat attracts defenders away from those around him. Would love to see such a back-rower back in our side.

Yeah thanks on the spot reporting ...... but nah!

Yes it’s a shame Matterson turned out to be a prick. With the high possibility of Mitchell coming it would’ve been great to have kept him as well - they know each other’s games from playing together at the chooks and could’ve caused some real damage up the middle. Don’t really know who would make the best replacement.

@tigerbalm I think if we were a successful club and had top players already the silence would not worry us... However when we are trying to get a top player like this we are all desperate we are thinking the worst... Understandable

is the longer there is no news a good thing or bad thing?

He’s away in Taree, and Madge just got back from NZ. I wouldn”t stress too much.

Agree and it doesn’t help that the media have been talking about it ad nauseum for weeks on end now.
