It was front loaded, $1m then 2x $850k

Not sure that's even the worst one there though. Foran, Bird, Hunt & Ash Taylor all look worse investments to me, Michael Morgan questionable as well

IF the reports are true and LM comes at $2.7M over 3 years - Unbelieveable - Fantastic! But we need to back him up with some other good signings - we need 2 forwards and an outside back as well.
LM can't do it all for us - a few seasons ago we lacked any attacking variation and ended up throwing the ball to Teddy in the hope he could do something. In the end he tried too hard, too often and I believe that lack of support contributed to his moving on. Look at Teddy in a side where that responsibility is shared and he is relieved of the pressure of carrying the whole team. The same thing happened years ago to Benji when we had no decent half or fullback. You could argue that Latrell at the Roosters and Latrell at the Tigers may not be the same player unless we have a team that can step up to his level.
Winning consistently in the NRL still requires angry, mobile, big guys paving the way across the ad line and standing up to everything the opposition throws at you. We need a couple of those guys as well!

That’s a given.

Absolutely. Unfortunately we had one and he didn't like us... we desperately need to replace that running backrower so we can offer up as many threats in attack as possible.

Garner was looking very good at the back end of last season, I'm happy enough with him on the left. If we can sign a couple of decent middles we can move Aloiai back to the right edge where he might be a pretty destructive option. There's bugger all decent 2nd row options available for signing which is why Kurt Capewell has been attracting more attention in the market than he probably deserves...Nat Butcher and Luciano Leilua are probably the most interesting prospects at a reasonable price point.

I think if garner bulked up a bit he would be ideal...and Luciano would only be good off the bench.....capewell could do a job starting but we need the anger in our forwards

The salt in the chookpen is at an all time high, great read. They cant believe he would even consider this club, if he doesn't come to the Tigers a Souths move would send them into meltdown. :joy:

Good little article on Mitchell helping out with the fires at Taree. Good on him.

It is a good read, they also complain about the Broncos massive advantage with TPAs

Personally, was a bit disappointed with the running aspect of Matterson's game this year. Of course the rest of his game was good, but a lot of that was in the middle and Garner had him well and truly covered line running wise once he got past the loss of his father.

We will miss him if we don’t cover his loss with a quality replacement. Madge wanted him as middle forward and that’s were the problem was .... so expect we are still in the market to cover his loss. Not sure if Brown is coming but would somewhat ease the pain.

Geez that’s a bit rich coming from the TPA kings!

Great to see them stewing for once in their lives. Now they know how every other club feels when they’ve raided them of their elite players.

I reckon Matterson is an unreal player but I think he was better in the middle. Garner's runs on the edge when he was in form were probably better.

I'd be looking for a middle forward to replace Matterson. Frizzell would be unreal though. A guy who can play on the edge and also in the middle but he is better than Matterson.

They aren't the TPA kings. They are the kings at under the table payments.
