@hsvjones What clubs are still in the mix? I thought it was us and the cowboys, with cowboys looking out now with Holmes potential signing.

Bloke at works young bloke is mates with LM, played at Chooks with him. Cows are no go. Waste of a trip bar the holiday. Holmes to Cows. LM probably with us.

Thing is, who else can afford him?

Roosters apparently won’t release him to Souths.

Manly - no
Sharks - no
Dragons - unlikely
Knights - maybe
Nth Qld - not with Holmes
Broncos - maybe
Titans - maybe
Raiders - no
Storm - no
Bulldogs - unlikely given public statements
Panthers - no
Eels - no

He could play for North Sydney

Broncos and titans have no cap at the moment. Knights would be touch and go cap wise

Warriors

Maybe he is enjoying his holiday and doesn't want to give statements to a bunch of reporters. Would end up on next flight home.

@Tweed_Tiger He's at the great barrier Reef having a whale of a time with his family - he's on holidays and I hope he's enjoying it. Laugh now cry later haha

@innsaneink Yep. That's pretty close to Taree.

Taree in Qld

I wonder whether this situation has got messy for the WT's since it changed from him signing in 2021 to 2020 ???

Well who is our target if we don't get Latrell. Arrow? Frizzel? Is Frizzel even looking around at present?

Arrow is very good, but I don't know if he's the forward leader we need.

I think you go hard for Lomax, Tetevano and Brimson - if there's any cash left, then front load some players and have a go at another big name again next year.

Every year, someone switches teams mid season, so keeping some cash up our sleeve for that might be prudent.

No point in panic spending like Cleary did right?

From the outside you have no idea what point the discussion are at.

The clubs leaders need to sit down and have an honest conversation with him.

Here is our offer, is there anything else you were expecting, what is preventing him from signing.

If he is asking to much or appears to be just stringing the club along, pull the offer, go to the media pointing out his lack of professionalism & your understanding of why the rooster are happy to let him go.

If our chairman keeps mentioning to the media how we would move mountains to get him and coming across as a star struck fan boy, it would be another humiliation for this club to watch him sign elsewhere.

@helmesy

And delete the clubs who willnot or cannot offer him his preferred fullback spot.

And the winner will be: Wests Tigers!
We tick all the boxes.

“I don’t think there’s a timeline as such. I think he’s done the right thing to go back and spend some time with his family,’’ Hagipantelis said.

“From what I understand Latrell isn’t due to return to any pre-season until after Christmas because of his involvement in the Australian team.

“However, it’s not in his interest or ours for things to linger. People like certainty and I’m sure he would, just as much as we would.

“But I don’t think anyone is going to come down with a hammer and pressure him. I don’t think it’s appropriate.’’

Honorable Chairman Lee Hagipantelis

@Ponyo

Can I offer a fan's translation:

"We want Trell signed, sealed and delivered to Concord NOW!
When do we want it?
Now!!"

Great statement if he signs. Makes us look like bottom feeding pushovers if he goes elsewhere.

It hard as a Wests Tigers fan, especially this year. We thought we had DWZ, couldn't free up the money, we couldn't get Mannah over the line but who cares. I am impatient. The club i am worried about most is Souths, if they get a salary cap concession for S. Burgess, they have the money and fullback spot. I know Rooster said they wouldn't release him to Souths but he could still sign there for 2021. Souths could maybe offer a player as compensation and an Adam Douhi

Christmas is coming. When does training begin in 2020? Can we afford a very late Lattrell acceptance, or most importantly rejection, of our offer?
