Latrell Mitchell Contract Discussion

Unfortunately he seems to be a bit of a mercenary -offering his services to the highest bidder.

As much as it hurt, Teddy chose the Roosters not only for money but he wanted a more stable club and an opportunity to better himself. Say what you like about him and his loyalty but he is most definitely a better player since he left us.

The thing that worries me the most with all this is that LM doesn’t seem to know what he wants (apart from💰). He has won everything the game has to offer premierships, origins and rep jumpers. It feels like he is about 5 years older than he is and wants the ultimate payday.

I think the Tigers need a marquee who has the right attitude to build the club around. No doubt Latrell is a generational talent but i question if he can be the cornerstone of the club.

I would move on and find the right talent and someone who can lead the club into the future.

**The Westslife guy himself is still very confident and has said that he now believes the hold up is with the release. He also said his source never specifically told him that it would be Tuesday and that he was just guessing it would be the next day as the info was that LM had signed, is definitely coming and that Roosters had the release ready**

When it got closer to the time and he still had to lick his shoe did he not say he was confident it would get done this week though?

@JD-Tiger Couldn't agree more JD. I would enjoy my holiday so much more knowing where I was going to be the following year. All said, if we don't hear something by the end of the week I think we chase hard for other players regardless.

If I could sit back and twiddle my thumbs while 4-5 different employers could fight for my service and possibly get more money I'd get an RSI injury in both thumbs

I like everyone else on here, don't know what's going on, but thinking about it, no one offers a contract without a "valid to date" inserted in that contract and with the lack of credible news, I think the deal is done.
I mean, there is no one else (in Aust) who has the cash to do this except us. GC are broke, Cows have just signed a $1m FB & Souths are broke until they get a determination on Burgess next year?
But this has been a shambles and IMO LM has not come out of it very well (though prob not his doing).
Anyway, I hope I'm right.
