Latrell’s management is apparently not happy with the conditions.

Then why don't they tell Latrell he's being an idiot and he should sign?

Sounds ridiculous if that's the supposed last hurdle for his signature. The contract should already stipulate leave entitlements - seems unreasonable to add in extra clauses before getting him over the line. You would think we would be more flexible if that's the case.

MENINGA: Titans can give Mitchell what he needs
The Wests Tigers have sensationally withdrawn their offer for disgruntled Sydney Roosters star Latrell Mitchell.

The shock revelation came on Thursday morning when Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe contacted the 22-year-old’s management to inform them that they would be pursuing other interests.

The Tigers had previously tabled a four-year $3.8 million offer for the superstar centre.

“Our first responsibility is to our club and we can’t be inactive in a market like the NRL player market and afford to sit around and wait.

“We have no ill feeling towards Latrell or his management and if they still would like to talk in the future we would welcome that.

“We will continue to pursue the talent that is out there in order to complement our already talented squad.”

It is understood the Tigers initiated talks two weeks ago, but have become exasperated with the ongoing delays and lack of clarity around Mitchell’s position.

Pascoe told The Daily Telegraph that there was “no ill-feeling” towards Mitchell or his management, but they felt an obligation to their fans to keep them in the loop about what direction the club was heading.

The Tigers would be willing to reopen negotiations with Mitchell at a later date if they can show a genuine interest in joining the club.

Makes sense, sounds reasonable.

Pascoe and Maguire better have something else lined up so they don't look any more stupid than they already do.

common man, its the wests tigers. a decade of ineptness...although this wasnt directly the tigers fault, it isn't a particularly desirable destination

Time to name and shame those sources of yours.

Don't tell me things change, this was always looking the most likely outcome.

Good stuff by the club...The guy isn’t guaranteed to thrive and if he’s playing hard ball then see you later...

I would assume that means we have our eye on someone else...Welcome back JAC?

We've left the door open for negotiations at least. This is a nudge "We have no ill feeling towards Latrell or his management and if they still would like to talk in the future we would welcome that.
