**So Moylan chooses to recommit to the sharks (thank god) and now tigers pursuing Latrell again?**
Best to just sit back and wait to hear any official announcements, I think we are all over speculations and rumors etc at his point.

If this is true, we have to up the ante and bump our offer. Offer him 1.3 if that’s what it takes. I know it’s overs, it’s obvious that’s what it will take to get him here. We’re having no luck, so desperate times call for desperate measures.

I agree, he would be worth that to our club.

The way i see it, you can’t go back at him with the same offer from before. He’ll just reject it again. If we really want him, you have to offer him more.

Anyway, I’m trying not to get my hopes up again. For all we know, that article could be running off that tweet by Rothfield, which came across as sarcasm imo. Wouldn’t surprise me.

The whole LM Saga just needs to end, I feel even if the tigers pay overs, it will help the club further down the line when making attempts to sign other big name players, and getting our current players to recommit to the tigers.

If we were chasing Moylan it’s because Mitchell had knocked us back. So why will things change now? We’ll be lucky to sign a petition.

It did, a week a go. If it’s true and we’re going back to him, it shows how desperate we are. Which isn’t a bad thing, cos it means we probably won’t give up till we land a big name.

Absolutely, we have to go in higher otherwise it’s a waste of time.

FWIW apparently Andrew Webster said something similar about LM coming here on BSB this morning

We took the contract off the table, to only place it on the bench so to speak.

Just because he wants a dairy farm one day doesn't mean his manager(s) should use us as a milking machine. He should be proud to wear our Jersey or is it Guernsey- or he should go to an udder club.

i dont think we should up the offer to get his signature. i say stick to the $3.8 for the 4 years.
reason why i say that is because , later on down the track
when we want to sign someone else , will they then run us through the same rings as Latrel
and his management have this time so we can up our offer to sign them aswell.

If Rothfield had info on us signing LM, he’d report it, he wouldn’t wait till some random asks him on Twitter. It would only be the biggest story in the game.

But Rorhfield doesn’t answer everyone. In fact he’s very selective in who/what he responds to on Twitter. I believe this is the first time he’s mentioned Latrell since the whole thing started.

Wow ..I dunno who would follow the Boozehound closely enough to know how he responds..

Trouble is what we have offered him and then withdrawn was way overs in my opinion. Now people are talking about another 300,000 per year.

How far above overs do you go?

Yes, yes, as far as it takes to get him...... No! the offer we tabled is too much.

850k per year would be my offer. I don't think he is a million dollar player....Yet!

At the moment there is a lack of options, If there was other quality players atm I’m sure we would pursue them.
Can’t deny that if we sign Latrell that it strengthens the team.
My worry is his attitude, he has the potential.

‘Yet’ that’s the key word, why not get him on board now?
It is a risk, but the positives out weigh the negatives in my opinion, sadly, we are used to dud signings already, if it goes bad we can handle it.

You mean have a waste of 1 mill for another three years. Not worth the money - too big a risk. I know we are desperate but......

This is typical of the rubbish media we have now. THere is ZERO in this article that implies we are actually talking to LM other than a week old quote from Mbye that "yeah he'd be good".
