It looks likely that LM and/or his manager, were never serious about WT, they used us in the price bidding.
Some people here panic like its 'the end of WT' if we don't sign him. Considering the above, it is the
the same as panic because we didn't sign: Tedesco, Munster, Taumalolo, Haas, Papalii and Fifita !

Keep it civil ladies and gents .....last thing Willow and the lads want to be doing at Xmas time is deleting posts and closing threads

Price bidding? To get the same if not less than what roosters offered? Who was actually bidding? Roosters and tigers only teams to ACTUALLY put an offer out there. Souths Havent and probably won’t.

It’s a stupid idea @chaos , hence nobody in HQ (my job) is remotely keen on the idea... next time you get called out on a public forum I’d be copping it sweet. Hahaha, also don’t know why you’d report my other account but don’t believe I was breaking anything other than your post down.

Just because you have an opinion doesn’t mean your opinion is right.
It’s nothing more then an opinion.
I said ‘If done properly’ it could be good.
There would absolutely be positives, Also negatives.
Called out? Lmao.
How did I get called out?
Ppl were mentioning a draft, I simply made an innocent comment on it, why you taking it so serious?
And what Do you mean ‘Report your OTHER account’?

Your post is so childish. I cba. Honestly the proof’s in the pudding and it’s Christmas time, cop it sweet next time somebody’s telling you to put a sock in it because perhaps you should be willing to offer up a system and designated rules for the system you’re proposing would be good ? How in any way will it fix current problems - believe me they listen to fans’ opinions...

Of course we have always been a chance who would be stupid enough to not consider a $1mill + a year? We are probably not his first preference( really not that surprising) and he is contracted for next year anyway.. He has said all along he is in no rush and his decision will be about what he considers best for him and not what's best for anxious WTs fans.

I bought a coke bottle that had "Latrell" on it this morn. Surely an omen.

Definitely an omen. We can only hope.

Can't believe people still want him here.
It's over. I wouldn't want a guy who comes as his last resort.

It's spells disaster. We need to move on and forget him entirely.

I’m not a fan of the draft, a trade window sounds interesting.

I don’t think clubs should own the players unless a player has come through the grades for a single club also up to 50% of that players salary should be cap except. Once the player leaves their jnr club, the player becomes a free agent. If the player wants to break his contract a fee of $100k will be paid by the buying club to the selling club. If the club wants to release a player the club must carry an additional $100k on their cap for the following season. A mutual agreement incurs no fee but all parties must be agreeable.

Same fee should apply for free agent players and clubs wanting to break a contract early.

Just a 3 beer suggestions.

I'm not a big fan of a trade window as it is based too much in fantasy. We decry the lack of loyalty and call players mercenaries but there is nothing as inhuman as giving managers the power to swap their employees and them having no choice in the matter.

I think the whole value of winning has gone too far.

The NRL needs strong leadership. That would sort out lots of the agent problems.

The reason there is no significant cap exemption is teams with a larger junior area would have an advantage. Brisbane would win the comp every year.

I disagree .....it actually becomes harder the more options you have .....you have to pick the right keepers

Look at the players have mistakenly lost because they choose the wrong outsider or junior

Respect your views.

Only thing I query is that unless people are cheating and breaking the rules the primary value of sport is winning.

I refer to trade windows as a short mid season window were with all party agreement or the above penalties apply, players can be traded between clubs.

Maybe even make origin a two week stand alone event and a trade window at the same time. Make it so both origin sides select 30 man squads, all 30 players must see game time during the 3 game series. Also those players must miss a game for their clubs before and after origin.

Addresses the risk of player burnout with 30 man squads and the break before and after. Creates strategy, who to play for what games and may stop clubs stacking their ranks with high value players. Because they won’t have them before and after origin.

would be a massive media frenzy also extends the season for more tv coverage adding value.

Down side is the two events would clash.
