I don't think he is an awful player, but that doesn't change the fact that some people on here are championing him to be our starting fullback and many others think that is an awful choice or option.

As I have stated before , we pulled the offer off the table some time ago. Fans deserve to have players playing for the club that they love and want to Play for and will do anything for and we have 27 signed in the top 30 of them at the club at the moment with 3 more to go

I fully agree with Justin. Paying a disinterested play $1 mil a year every year for 4 years would have sent Wests Tigers to habitual wooden spooners.

Anyone saying Corey Thompson is an awful fullback needs to watch more football, because one should know he isn’t a specialist fullback, therefore would admire his talent, and yes even as a fullback- I seriously loved watching him play in that position.
Then to compare him to other specialist fullback is just silly.
Should he be our long term fullback? No, we need a specialist fullback but in saying that I feel it’s unfair to Corey to have him judged against specialist fullbacks, I wouldn’t be upset if he was our fullback for the up coming season, I feel he would show improvement.

Last comment on Cory and that is he was always a fullback, right up until his opponents were at a playing level that he could not longer compete with as one.

For the first try Manu beat LM pointless and scored. For the second try LM couldn't close down Manu and he put the winger over. For the third try LM, under no pressure dropped the ball on the half way line and the Kiwis went six tackles and scored.

After the match I was trying to remember when I last saw an Australian player singlehandedly lose a test for Australia.

If we do end up landing AJ, whilst he is certainly no bust your guts superstar, he is ahead of a few of our first graders. He will create competition for spots amongst our backs, and has the experience of playing finals football recently.
I can't see harm from him being in our squad at the right price. He would probably also come here with a chip on his shoulder and be looking to prove some things.

Bugger competition for spots, I'm sick of hearing it.

We have had plenty of competition for spots over the years because all of our players are ok, but not representative players.

I'd prefer having representative players cementing their position than have two mid range players battling it out.
