Latu Fainu #282

I think at any other club Latu would be moved on , he has been injury prone from day 1 , if we didn’t have Sam looking at extending and was moving on , Latu would be shown the door , he hasn’t pressed for a spot anywhere , time will tell bit at $ 500 k reportedly per year this is one of the bad $ for job done , he has been equal to a $ 150 k player , needs to do something and fast , coach should just give him his spot and leave him there not move him all over the shop , half , 5/8 , hooker , lock , just plain dumb ,

No club would move him on. If you have a young half who naturally has time with ball in hand you hang onto him for dear life and persevere with his body. Ball players like Latu dont come along very often. You say he hasn't pressed for a spit anywhere but he hasn't been given one single game in his position...not one game. Its like signing Tedesco and then complaining when he isnt killing it at hooker, lock and wing.

I agree with the position and I said it in my rant , but the kid has been injured the whole time , and the one that stands out as you say coach has not played him in his natural position , my question why ? If he is good , why ?

people overlook his injuries
if we didnt have sam i agree clubs would move him on.
start of the year benji was looking at 13 for latu, perhaps that is his go, and the club looks at Andrews as a 6,
Andrews will be a gun

I remember Potter playing Teddy on the wing and he was Sh!t

If Latu is fit enuff tom play at 9,why dont we give him a shot at 7 and see what hes actually got so we can make informed decisions on contract renewal
The short term fix we have this w/e doesnt make any sense

It is a short-term solution, because of the huge hole that Hope is unable to even half fill. Otherwise, I agree.

Necessary this weekend for mine, as Api deserved a call up for SOO, even though the greedy part of me wishes that he hadn't been.

Get him on at #7 this week.

Play Hope & Lanyon at #9, but put the best attacking players on the field in positions they can influence the game.

Latu is a passing robot at #9 and not the right fit.

At worst- play him at #13. But get the ball in his hands.
Sione will give him a spell at 9 and he’ll go to a ball distribution 13 role I guess. That’s an opportunity to show his wares as a HB.
