@851 That is crap, I am not saying Farah , Rowdy and Benji are the the best players out there, however for what we have paid for them, they are value for money. The main reason we did not make the 8, is that a large chunk of our cap is not in FG. This money could of better used on players backing up Farah, Rowdy and Benji. These three players have been great this year, and have not let anyone down. As long as they are good enough to be selected in FG, they should be in FG.

That is your opinion and that's fine, not mine though, we cant be serious top 8 contenders next year with those 3 in our starting side, Farah is gone, but my point remains.

@851 I would then like to know who you would of selected this season to replace them, and who we could purchase that is available and better than these players. No point saying things with no substance.

Had you heard of Sivo or Klokstadt last year? I had'nt. But I have a fulltime job so I dont have the time to know who is running around in superleague or CC.
BUT, our club has fulltime professionals who should know the good young players not in first grade and should be bringing them into the club. Re-signing Farah and Benji was just lazyness by the CEO and the then coach.

I am talking next year, if we are hanging our hat on a 35 year old five eighth we may as well concede now.
The warriors have a couple of good halves, both kick goals, they would come for a shot at playing NRL, you could find a backrower looking for a shot no trouble. If you have a look around there are players who are young and could cut it, that would be as cheap or cheaper than our old boys

Spot on, Sivo is on minimum wage, couldn't get a game at Penrith, Parra gave him a shot and he topped the try scorer list this year, you have to try things, trotting out the same players who have not delivered a top 8 spot will not be the answer

Yeh he done a job this year, next year he will be older, he had his mid season slump when we needed him most this year, he is not going to get better, we have tried this move, over and over, it doesn't end well.
If Grub goes I could cop Benji as a back up, but he won't be a back up, he will be starting and we will be bottom 8 again. Look at Brooks's game when Benji was out of the halves, he looked good, that is something to be hanging our hat on for next year

Since the start of the 2016 season Wests Tigers have turned over 2/3rds of the roster...21 players no longer with the Club effectively in 2 years...so that doesn't seem to be working either..

You have to pick the right ones, the talent identification needs addressing, it is a better option than trotting out the same crew again who have already failed, some many many times

@Geo That's because Wests Tigers do most of their shopping at the Reject Shop.

But we have Maguire now so that should change right..
