If he has influenza why the heck was he playing at all? Surely anyone who is sick, regardless of the cause should not be playing. So he didn’t have Covid but could have easily passed on Influenza to everyone else.

This sort of behaviour in society needs to stop now. If you are sick stay home, I’m not giving you a VC for turning up to work sick.

We tripped stumbled , bumbled our way to victory

**Brooks is a champion ...never doubted him .......**

Seriously though our big problem that stands out is the lack of mobility in Huth ,Packer and Seyfarth

At least if you have Musgrove , Twal even Rowdy in the 13 ..you have more lateral movement in your middle 3rd

You’re kidding right? One field goal to win a match doesn’t make up for 7 years of nothingness! About bloody time he did something good.

That was his 5th Field goal...

Brooks gets bagged when he doesn't do anything ..then when he does he gets bagged for doing it..

He was also involved in 3 of the Tries we scored today..chased hard all game was the guy there chasing Doueihi's bomb and on the chase in other area's ..a few kicks he put in including 2 close to the line..no one was chasing..The kick he put in that Mbye tapped back was pin point..there was no one else there to capitalise..

It is just completely ignored..

Because , people only watch the game either side of points scored or something big happening . They’re not watching the small things , like how a half puts it out in front or dummies inside twice , causing the middle defenders to hesitate , then giving early ball to the backs to Make a half chance .
Or refusing to throw the speculator and taking the tackle and dying with the ball.

Or even , bombing it , midfield , so your defence can jam them on the 10m line . And attack with defence . Or supporting every half break etc.

Joey didn’t have a great game but wow that try he scored to get us level was terrific.

He has his flaws but no one in the club can score a try like that. He is almost impossible to stop when he’s got some room in front of him

That’s what he can do when he’s given early ball and a bit of space, absolutely criminal when our halves starve him of quality ball

He’s so scary running the footy. He moves really fast and is pretty agile once he gets going for a big man

You forgot to mention he’s one of the best defensive halves in the game. That gets ignored as well

I kinda felt sorry for Meaney trying to bring him down, Beejs kinda just swatted him away like a fly

One of the other good things about this game is despite playing poorly in stages they found a way to win.

In the past these are the sort of games we would have lost easily but instead, after being behind near the end, they created opportunities to win the game.

Well done Wests Tigers.

Anyone know the exact time when Napa led with his head? He should be suspended for a long time if found guilty. If he connects, it can end someone else's career and it shouldn't be treated lightly.

If you don't enjoy these wins you'd never enjoy a game. But when we didn't get the ball after that last kick off!! WOW

My main issue with today's game was the lack of support when someone made a line break. Everyone just sat back & watched. Expecting 1 person to make a freak play by themselves. If you look at the top teams, someone is always off the ball carriers hip, ready for an offload.

Yeh that would be Corey Thompson. AD hardly features

Read the next line spud .....seriously though .....I was ready to throttle Brooks up until then

How slow does Brooks look compared to last year where he was probably one of the quickest in the team.

So Slow that he out ran Habiso Tibida Fido when we played the cowboys.
So slow that he chased Doueihi’s 50m bomb and when close to scoring before the dead ball line.
Yeah slow.

Kinda a watershed moment for the WestsTigers.
10 weeks ago we lost that exact game.
If anything that shows we have made an improvement through the course of this season.

Well thought Liddle played really well for his 60 minutes, his passing from DH was a revelation after the past few weeks. Good defence and a few nice runs. First game back and will only get better.

The other point I would like to make is the Cogger break up the middle. Blame should be put on the right people - it was Eisenhuth's tackle to make, Packer was too far away and Liddle was trying to cover his error and managed to almost trip him up.

A win is a win as they say - and it keeps us alive for another week.

Liddle also made the tackle before, a great low tackle. We actually gave away a 6 again call on that play that shouldn't have been given. Liddle was still running back into the line after that great tackle. The break wasn't his fault but he probably should have made the tackle.

Maybe with another 2 or 3 games up his sleeve, he would have.

Agreed mate, I'm not being critical at all. The previous tackle was a beauty and if the game rewarded low tackles more than he would have had more time to be in position as well. I just think he did manage to get himself to a spot where I believe he would himself expect to make the tackle.

On Liddle at the game he still seemed to be favouring that knee a little.

Brooksy tried hard all game and did come up with the clutch play but I thought he didn’t look as comfortable wide of the ruck. A few times he had a bit of space to run he did cut back inside. When we had to score, Brooks took the ball in the middle, sent It to Benji (who is much more dangerous wider if the ruck) and while Cogger slipped over, he did put it on a platter for BJ.

I thought it was our most fluent play of the game.
