I really think those who rush to blame nofo for any tries down his side lack a fundamental understanding of how defence works. The problems on the right side began on the edge far inside bj and nofo, where a 2 man overlap developed. This was exacerbated by the ability of Graham to run or kick, which made running out of the line to shut it down dangerous.

Also, cronulla were onto nofo running the ball out and cutting back inside. Either the 9 needs to run and engage the markers who the pass needs to be wider to get nofo outside the markers. I think it could be a key focus at training this week.

Let's go back a game
Contest for the bloody ball Nofoluma
How hard is it
How can a player in the NRL who is in a great position to catch the ball not even attempt to catch it
Don't make excuses for his defensive lapses
Opposition teams target Nofolumas wing for a reason
Nofoluma is great with the ball in hand but without it, it's completely another story
I would love to see the team stats with tries conceeded
Nofoluma's wing would have to be miles ahead with tries conceeded

We looked vulnerable in last 25 minutes of the first half, mainly due to Graham, and we had a couple of our bench players on. I think maybe we should look at what Graham was doing and do it ourselves, also I think Lawrence and Seyforth are ok, but we need more impact, and Che Kam and Musgrove would bring that, even give Blore and Mcintyre a try. It was clear to see once our run on side was back on the field, we came back.

Blore and. McIntyre are very mobile forwards well suited to the new rule changes. You can already see forwards like Woods and a half like Townsend will struggle due to lack of mobility and pace.

Agree with the bench.

Even if you brought Walters in the last 20 of the first half and moved grant in the forwards. Both great defenders and would have more impact.

Walters looked like he could play another 80 after last nights game.

Heard Cooper Cronk say post game that Grant was the fittest player at the Storm

Was I the only one who was mystified how Johnson's 1st conversion went over ...from the angle it hit the cross bar and then where it landed

Completely agreed. Many supporters of all clubs blame outside backs for the shortcomings of the defensive line,Nofo is the main bloke who cops it on here and he certainly does make errors but nowhere near as many as some people think.

As much as I love what he has done for the club over his career, I’d very much like to see Zane Musgrove or MCK replace Chris Lawrence in round 4 - he doesn’t offer much at all tbh

Lucy, Garner and Twal

Best back row we've had in ages, maybe ever!

Payten ,Dwyer and Ellis

Better perhaps, but short lived, sadly.

Thought Jennings actually played tonight...put in the effort, took some hit ups.

Did I just say that.....

Wow are you feeling okay? ?

Credit where credit is due. Only a small amount but happy to give it.

One things for sure, I'm glad we don't have Woods in our team. He looks bog average most weeks, plays with very little heart and ruined their captains challenge tonight. Hope Aaron realises what happened to his career after He left us.

Woods looks his main concern is milking penalties.

Nothing's changed then. Exactly the same as us. It used to frustrate me to all ends watching him play the ball for us.

Once the refs know of serial milkers, you'll never be able to get away with it again. It's like Elijah Taylor. All the refs know he messes around in the ruck, it's why he can't get away with those ruck infringements anymore by saying "sorry sir".

There goes Cammy and half the Melbourne Storm team then ?. Unless they can adapt quickly I think they might end up being the big losers with the new way the game is being played. Can’t say I’ll be shedding a tear for them if they can’t adapt, their wrestling/slowing down the ruck tactics have annoyed me for years!

Agreed, most of the time it is his wing, BUT....

It is not always his fault, most of the time it is the players closer to the ruck rather than the right outside centre and right winger.

I thought you would have picked that up.

Why, do you think he has not been dropped by three different coaches. They know.

Thought it landed in the field of play on the viewing I had.

i.e. In front of the try line.

I thought it landed centimetres within the in goal ....how can it go ever from that angle ...usually when they hit like that they skim off slightly

Fair call, do you see Lawrence offering more than either one of MCK and Musgrove
