Brooks was pretty good. MM is an issue but he has an upside.

The kid is rubbish.

he is definitely not an organiser that's for sure. brooks unfortunately looks to be solely one of those "eyes up" footballers. great in broken play, good in set plays with a rehearsed role is said play, but poor in organising his team mates in where to be and what to do when we need it most. short kicking game and ability to gain repeat sets also weak.
with his half partner being a pure runner of the ball again next year , we will struggle in the same areas.

Brooks overran it, but pretty braindead from Mcilwrick to throw it deliberately forward. Any Hooker worth their salt runs it themself or passes the other way.

Brooks no excuses. We should sign on the cheap halfback Drew Hutchinson from the Dragons.Still quite young,big,good kicking game and good defense.Good for depth at the very least,and would be cheap.Unwanted at Dragons cause of the arriving Hunt.Cheap,put pressure on Brooks,and Benji could mentor both. Better than LittleJohn. A cheap,no risk signing.

I have big concerns next year in regards to our halfback and hooker positions.
Both Brooks and Liddle don't fill me with confidence and they're in key positions, the most important positions on the Footy field IMO.

The rest of the team looks to be coming together nicely, great effort tonight and I can see the making of a competitive team being assembled but the 7 and 9 worry me.

Certainly wouldn't worry about Liddle - he is quick, good defender, creative and a pretty good passer.
Needs to work on his kicking game and he'll be a great all rounder.

Brooks - I still say he will be ok under Cleary, give him the off season, a new partner - all the while remembering that Nathan had a great teacher - now Brooks has that same teacher. Watch him improve.

Look… I think we are all disappointed we didn't get the win. Coulda shoulda didn't, whatever
Over the last few seasons all we die hards have wanted is a team that tries its ring out and we can be proud of.
Tonight was one of those, as have the last few weeks.
If we can continue this attitude with some quality team players coming to slot in I think we will have many better weeks than not next year.

Why? He is playing in a totally dud team at the moment for a coach at the moment who seems to have no answers.

I think he will be a totally different player with a new club, new coach, new partner and a club that will be going somewhere Earl.

Have faith in Cleary and have heart in a new beginning for him and all of us.

Would be massively cheap I reckon,about the same as LittleJohn.His biggest downside is injury prone.But,his few first grade games at the Dragons,last season, showed more than LittleJohn ever has.

No, I'm saying Brooks didn't develop at all in 2 1/2 years under a Head Coach who was a halfback…

Emotions aside well done boys. 16-0 down, if that was under our previous coach it would have ended up 50-0\. You came back and went toe to toe with one of the premiership favourites. Great effort.
