Live Stream of Meeting of Members

Holy crap JT watched every try scored against us last year and documented them on a spread sheet. I think this guy is a little psychotic.

Hope you guys watched this meeting….I am SO impressed with JT....he spoke very well and came across as a VERY good coach!....We should support him 100% this year no matter what!...

This club is going in the right direction for sure!

This has been fascinating. Jason Taylor is a very smart operator.

He is bringing the club into the 21st century with the training/conditioning side of the game. He is cutting edge in this regard and his attention to detail here has been lacking in the coaches of the past i am sure. Video taping every session, GPS, Match intensity at training.

He also demonstrated VERY strong views on the WT woeful defence in the past and why that has been. He was very bullish about his defensive system and that it will be much improved. He took direct shots at how we have defended in the past and why we have been so poor in this area.

He also held a very common sense view on the role of bench and interchange. In the process he said what the fans have been saying for years, the Tigers put a lot of pressure by the use of their bench by carrying a winger in case someone gets injured.

He also held very strong views on the salary cap and said there was no way he should have kept Blair and Thompson even if it would have made us slightly better. He described it as a mess and Phil Moss will be exceptional at fixing it up.

A fantastic initiative by the club…this meeting...I watched it for 2 hours and got so much information out of it...I believe a full reply will be up on the WT site tomorrow...watch it folks and be impressed by Mayer, Go and JT!..

Great stuff!.

I watched every Try scored against us too…. :crazy

Wow. So excited for the season ahead. JT came across very well and I think the board and GM has done very well appointing him

And for those whinging about his 9s philosophy. He took a common sense approach with Simona resting him according to where he was at with his fitness. He mentioned in the past Tigers have played players no where near 100% fit and that won't be happening any more.

LOL…I dont think anyone wanted injured players to play

I like a proffesional outfit to try and win every competition we play in...not make up numbers

I don't want to get too carried away because we have not played a match yet. I was was really impressed how detailed, cutting edge and how bullish he was. However its another matter putting those words into actions with the players he has got. It is easy to talk it up before Round 1.

However he was not talking in boring cliches. he was giving direct example of why we will improve. The way he was talking it was like the Tigers have been so far behind other clubs in terms of how we get the best out of players. From training, to conditioning, to defense to game strategy.

The only slight concern i still have is how will he react to some losses. He even mentioned in the members talk people that were shaking their heads and had a bite at them rather then ignoring them. I just hope he has lost that angry ant thing because occasionally people are going to have a go at you whether it be members, or media or players.

Thats the only small thing I had against him when he joined. However to here things like he watched every try scored against the Tigers the past few years, thats real attention to deal. No offense but as my mate said on the phone poor old Potts probably has trouble working the VCR at home.

We are the least successful team in the Premiership over 15 years.

Jason Taylor is gearing every second, every bit of time and energy and common sense into improving that.

Why spend 2 weeks on 9s tactics and formations, when you could go over there and practice some of the defensive structure he hs just put in place.

Ok it sounds boring but lets remember the context here, 1st here coach coming into a club that has finished the year disgracefully and have a lot of players still in rehab.

The old saying the problem with common sense is it is not common! I think the people bagging his 9s tactics this year are clutching at straws personally thats all

JT on the salary cap "If we had kept going the same way we were going (before Phil Moss got involved) we would soon be out of the competition."

Just one question on that.

Does anyone know who was responsible for putting us in that position? And are they still at the club??

At a guess I'd say Humpty and Sheens as the last major signing were under their reign and they are no longer in the building…. that's why Phil Moss has been brought in......

The overriding thing for mine was the separation of power/duties, rather than blurred lines of the past. Board, CEO, then football operations broken down with Moss and then coaching staff.
