Looking forward to new fullback impact

Unless our pack stands up and doesn't become intimidated, as happened last round, it won't matter who our fullback is or how good he is.

Exactly. Wests Tigers biggest problem in their slide down the ladder has been the non performing pack. Twal has been the only consistent impact player among them.

I doubt we have the forwards to carry us back to the 8.

Really hope he is sniffing round the ruck all the day , looking to capitalize on any 2nd phase ball

Thompson offered that. If Mbye doesn’t have more, we are going backwards

Our hooker has been pretty one dimensional and obvious all year (except liddle in manly game). I hope that makes a difference to our pigs in getting them working more efficiently as a unit

Yeah agree Thompson is already good at that. Woods was offloading all the time at the Dogs, but Mbye was never anywhere near him to take the pass - not a good sign.

Woods averaged less than 2 offloads per game at the Dogs. .

My point is, as a fullback, Mbye doesn't seem te be anywhere near the play when an offload is on, regardless of who the the player offloading is. Thompson, on the other hand, is already good at sniffing around the ruck waiting for an offload. His fullback positional play is superior to Mbye's at this stage, but Mbye has the advantage in speed. Hopefully Mbye will grow into the fullback role the more he plays there, but at present he's still only learning the skills, imo.

I dont know what games some people were watching, but I saw MM powering up the middle every second play trying to sniff out a offload while playing for the Dogs. I said to my son during one game that MM reminded me of Hogo. I think he will be a great signing

Thank you. Mbye was always sniffing In and around the ruck no one offloads there was no second phase play at the dogs. Here at the tigers Ivan has made it pretty clear that we want to play more expansive footy and more second phase play which will defiantly suit Mbye as he’s always looking around for an offload. He hasn’t even played yet can we just wait and see how he goes
