Luciano Leilua quits Wests Tigers

Not fussed, particularly since Papali'i will arrive to replace Lucy and is leaps and bounds better

Lucy wasn't being used properly for mine and should be playing less minutes for impact, so if he is/was going to be used similarly by Maguire in 2022, not that bothered if he is let go early providing a replacement or swap is available.

The best packs in the Comp have quality everywhere. WT need to keep adding quality forwards if we want to play finals. Luc was not part of our puzzle.

Apparently, Heilum Luki has been talking to us already and is jut waiting for restrictions to lift to tour our facilities. The Nth Qld forum are really worried about losing him at the expense of Luc

I am hopeful a deal is being worked out behind the scenes now and we will see Luciano go for 2022...

Luki, Nanai, Hammer...
Isn't Tuamalolo and Payten still off each other?
Fresh start for all.

Somethings coming. WT wished the big hombre and his family well.

I'm feeling it...

Can't see Luciano carving up for us in 2022.

A deal is surely being worked out.

It's compulsory to spend at least 90% of your Cap. We can't release him, even if he plays the Mental Health card, unless we sign a player on a comparable wage.

Further to this we gave him an ultimatum to accept our offer on Monday. Then Luch signs. Things may be falling into place for a swap,

From WT's website.
Wests Tigers player Luciano Leilua has confirmed to the club he will depart at the end of the 2022 season to take up a long-term deal with another NRL club.

The 25-year-old Leilua joined Wests Tigers at the start of the 2020 season and has gone on to play a total of 44 games for the club.

Since his arrival, Luciano has made a strong contribution to Wests Tigers, and we have no doubt that he is firmly committed to delivering his best football with the club in 2022.

We wish Luciano, his partner Dora, and his daughter Ida-Lynn all the best in the future.

The cowboys are optimistic though some are calling it a rebound recruit.

Luch is not a terrible player and will omprovw with less minutes.

He's just not a 700k player in comparison.

Release him and go back in for Hodgson. Just pay the money

Release him. Ok done.
But for Hodgson?
Why does replacing an edge forward with a hooker make sense? Oh yea wests tigers recruitment.

Luke Thompson may be a replacement. Not a good one but the only one I can think that is available.

I was really looking forward to seeing Cayless work on Luciano. We clearly have good guys coming in though. Lets see.

Hooper reads the forum. Hi hoops

North Queensland have two of the best emerging backrowers in the NRL in the form of Helium Luki and Jeremiah Nanai and the Tigers have already begun the process of trying to land one of them.

Apparent that's what tigers are after

Send off Lucy this year in swap for Luki on a bit more coin than presently on. Use the difference to upgrade Stef with coin left over. Way out in front. Luki happy. Stef happy. Me happy.

That would be a very poor move imo

Wouldn't mind Luki or Nanai but i'd prefer Gilbert, is off contract at the end of 2022 and is an absolute workhorse. I think the edges are covered with Blore and (eventually) Papallii so would prefer a middle.

It'll work it's self out...

Sounds like we're aiming to not get the short stick any more.

Wouldn't give up on Hodgson yet either..

I don't think it's a great loss but will need to go on the market for a good player to replace him. We don't have anyone.

https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2021/11/18/wests-tigers-sign-isaiah-papalii/

We have a better replacement for 23. It's an improvement. Then we have Blore with another season under his belt.

This is a win for the tigers he was on massive money here and I would much rather spend the money on spine players. lowball api since he's anti vax.
