Gus knew he was as a poor defender like all us supporters. We have struggled with defence for 10 years the best teams that make it to top four have great defence. We cannot go anywhere in the NRL with a player like him leaking tries week after week on the edge.

All last year I was in the closet thinking Garner was better than Luc. His defence dramatically improved and is an elite line runner

I would love to see him in reggies which is where his dreadfull defence deserves him to play.If you can't or won't defend in the forwards you are not a team player and never will be

He'll be motivated, which is great. But -

Papali'i isn't currently at the club, Seyfarth is being utilised as a middle, not an edge and Blore is very, very good defensively, but Tuilagi is a better prospect imo.

I think we will get Luki. No way do we get Hammer or Nanai. Maybe we get Asi

Not fussed, particularly since Papali'i will arrive to replace Lucy and is leaps and bounds better

Lucy wasn't being used properly for mine and should be playing less minutes for impact, so if he is/was going to be used similarly by Maguire in 2022, not that bothered if he is let go early providing a replacement or swap is available.
