In 05 I asked my missus for a leave pass to go into Brisbane city and watch the Grand Final on the big screen....the hotel had regulars that were tigers supporters.
The downside is I peaked far too early and couldn't remember what happened other than we won.
I sang tigers theme song 'eye of the tiger' all the way home.
Thank god for Foxtel, I watched the replay a thousand times over. 🤣

Brooksy has had a couple of games to get used to the idea of being the supporting half (6), however, Madden isn’t the partner to be able to relieve him of enough of those game management responsibilities. Hastings is though. Which is why I’m looking forward to seeing Brooksy play his natural free flowing eyes up game.

That's what a lot of us are thinking.
It makes sense to put at hooker and see what happens. Does anyone disagree since there is nothing to lose but plenty to gain.
The general feeling is to give him a go at another club that might reignite his old form [change is as good as a holiday]
Well putting him into hooker-dummy half might also reignite his game.
He passes well, good defender and can dart out of dummy half.
He's not too tall which is good for a dummy half and is strong.
Carry another hooker for interchange.

Agreed. But then 2023 becomes interesting. Api at 9, Hastings and Douehi in the halves with Brooks as 14 and back up half? That's an expensive 14.

Or maybe Brooks at 5/8 turns out to be the reignition you speak of and Douehi to centre...? We are in desperate need of some strike in the centres.

Yes and no. Brooks could cover either position.
Not many hookers can do that. If he was to make a go if it then he becomes valuable again.
Another thing, if our roster improves he might find himself back in the halves.
Playing behind a forward pack that has the defence retreating is easier.
