Spin it how you like, but tell me where I am wrong about the other halfbacks

Other people just see it different to you.
From NRL.com 2018 Brooks was named in NRL.com Team of the Year.
Voted by teammates as NRL Players' Player of the Year — Luke Brooks
NRL Player of the Year (Kelly-Barnes Award) — Luke Brooks

You have put crap on him all year. Even at the end of the regular season you are still trying to find ways to cheapen any achievement he has made, someway or other you will put a stain on it.

That is a load of crap, I have praised Brooks when he has done well, and I have not put crap on him all year as you say, I have said, and I stand by it, Brooks has no or very little game management skills, and tell me another halfback who played well this year, there is no one.

Come on, own your opinions. Every time there is an opportunity to hammer Brooks there’s you, snake and cqtiger (or ck).

Any praise is begrudging and along the lines of good today, but as I have pointed out for the last 4 years generally crap.

Who would you suggest we sign on a similar contract, and what do you think other clubs would pay for Brooks

What would other clubs pay for Brooks?

We’ll find out November 1 if we don’t pull our fingers out

He is certainly a first grade half, however, he has no idea how to manage a team around the park. He certainly has no idea how to close out a game.

Careful Col, I say that and I am putting crap on him all year, but I agree 100%

It's Steve Bradbury Russ, rather than a sarcastic Luke Bradbury.

Yeah we get it.
I don't think anyone is comparing Brooks as a game manager to JT or Cronk. It's just that you mention it every chance you get. In this thread alone you have said the same thing over again multiple times.
He's stats on repeat sets and try assists are part of game management and aren't as bad as you are making out.

His repeat sets are quite good, his defence has improved heaps, but we are talking 100 plus games

Watch out, I think the self appointed opinion police is stalking you lol.

There’s no rules on stating opinions it’s just that some of us say it once and move on while others want to dominate threads or multiple threads with the same stuff/fluff

I agree with most of your posts but i do think you are misguided on Brooks.Luke has been a huge bonus to the club this year and to be honest we are getting him cheap compared to other halves.I hope the club has been talking to him about an extension for 3 years unless we have someone better lined up(NC the only realistic proposition and he would want bucketloads more).

I think Brooks showed some real class this year and it was not like he was playing behind a pack full of power and speed or had a wizard dummy half to give him time and space.

His defence was as good as anyone else in the team and he is the only guy in the club that could compete in a foot race, most of our squad could not run out of sight on a dark night. He was also very durable.

I would be trying to bypass his parasite of a manager and trying to extend his contract. Good no7 are as rare as rocking horse sh.t

Yeah, he has a habit of this. In the Cleary thread he must have posted 10-15 times stating he was yet to bag Cleary. Wherever there’s a chance to hammer home a thought, be it on Brooks, Taylor etc, he won’t miss it. Even if he’s said it multiple times.

Everybody on here has a tendency to state their position on something and stick to it. Not sure why people love to keep count or keep harping on about opinions that don’t match theirs. If you don’t like it don’t read his posts.

Well just this year i remember Brooks kicking a FG against someone..laying on a match winning TRY against the Storm setting up some plays at crucial times in other victories even kept us in some of the losses but yeah I have no idea how he managed that
