good games ahead I reckon..good on Madge for making the switches that now are showing better results...

TT, Cleary had Brooks' playing the best football of his career. I believe his coaching had a lot to do with it.

That maybe true Paws, but Brooks had no real control when Benji the icon was on the field next to him...Madge found the fault, got rid of it and put a ball playing halve next to Luke...its made a world of difference to the team and Luke....but keep harping on that Madge cant coach...Ivan has had plenty of talent at his disposal,if not,he paid big money to get results he wanted, unfortunately his coaching prowess meant nothing when he dogged us to move to a more comfortable coaching job made easier by people like Gould...

TT, Cleary had Brooks on fire at WTs, not at the Panthers. We have gone backwards under Maguire and I cannot understand why he hasn't been shown the door. Beating a sadly depleted Dragons' team means little. Start crowing when we are in the 8 and can beat the top teams.

I’ve always thought the club went backwards under Cleary. Sure we may have won enough games to hold down ninth spot on the ladder, but in many ways we were victims of Cleary’s agenda. We probably retain Teddy if not for Cleary.

Tedesco was always going. Perhaps we may have retained Moses.

Moses was a lost cause. Difficult to know exactly without being privy to the quid pro quo deals, but it involved WT denying a player manager being employed at the club and Cleary giving Teddy a deadline which I interpreted as a push, same with Woods. Cleary then went about trying to sell us on the idea that the loss of 3 of our ‘big 4’ would free up cap space enabling us to recruit such wonderfull players like Mbye, Reynolds and Packer. Teddy is quoted as saying he probably would have stayed if he wasn’t given that deadline. If you think we did well under Cleary then he’s a better salesman than I thought.

I know you don't want to believe it but Teddy was gone a long long long time before any deadline.

Teddy was gone long before. He was gone when he back flipped on Canberra it just wasn't the right deal.

Still waiting on happy's out of 10 for the week but as usual he's licked 1 too many toads and completely given up..quit... what a let down to his legion of fans..

Been a busy man 6/10 ...missed 3 tackles in the 1st half

he either defends like a beast and can't attack or attacks well and defence goes to crap

I thought his defense was pretty good...he had to clean up some of Talaus poor defensive positioning a couple times

The missed tackles were probably from when he made first contact with a big bopper and was shoved off

That’s how I seen it ..
Happy is a harsh critic
I had him down for 8.5

It looked like he was defending in 2 positions out there
Talau really is slow..
Got burnt by their fullback a few times

Talau turns slower than the titanic

The Titanic last turn was pretty quick actually ...sunk to the bottom about as quickly as us though

Your a Brooks lover ...your dumped lol

He either was gone or he wasn’t? What really happened? The story about someone talking him off the cliff is a good one, but doesn’t make sense. I prefer an 11th our bid to overturn a previous decision made with haste. Not necessarily his decision, but believe what you want to and I’ll leave open the option of something at play out of his control, based on reading what he has said.

Fact is: after debuting for Tigers James Tedesco signed with another club every time his contract came up. Tigers also had to outbid St George for his junior contract, which is to be expected of course.

Luke Brooks controlled the game tonight. I was watching on Fox and the commentary team were hyper-critical of one of his best kicks. He put pressure on the other team with his kicking. He was doing one-bounce kicks which the winger could contest on the bounce with the opposition winger. I have never seen him strike the ball so well. It's going higher than ever.

Really hope he keeps this form up...he’s unlocked his true potential if he does...he’s playing like a soo Half imo...fantastic kicking/running/Defense...it’s so good to see 2018 brooks back

reckon having madden on the bench few weeks back lit the fire under Luke. He's been awesome since then. Hopefully it continues

Kicking game close to the line the last month has been second to none. Perfectly placed every time

I feel like our kick chase has improved substantially. Brooks doesn't fell like he has to kick the ball so far because there are actually players in the vicinity to force a play. Tommy Talau in particular was very good. His presence forced 2 drop outs from memory that in past weeks would have gone dead.

What i really loved about Brooksy was all the yelling. He is screaming at his defenders, screaming at his team on where to be and it seems to have finally clicked that he is in charge

It pays to have a decent play maker next to Luke to help him play his natural game....

Has plain old time helped?

By that I mean time with a set 1, set Combinations with Doueihi building. Liddle at 9, mbye at 5/8, etc.

Good to see us get a win, now guys do it 13 more times in a row!

At the start of the year i was saying Maguire is going to throw his support behind Brooks come what may. The pressure Maguire was under coincided with Brooks's poor form. Rumours were around that the board were looking at other options.

How times have changed.

Brooks has been back to his best since coach removed Doueihi from the halves. It was exactly what Brooks needed to take control of the team.

Full credit to his form. I hope he can keep it up and imporve on his talk and on field leadership on the back of the renewed confidence.

My concern however is removing Doueihi a good young 5/8 improved his form. Last night when Moses went down Brooks played even better, took on more responsibility.

We are however playing this game to win a premiership. To do that and to beat top 4 sides you need two quality halves.

Can Luke still play this well with a dominant 5/8 outside of him. This is where i have my doubts and i hope we dont end up back at the start of this cycle where Luke is under pressure because his form drops again as we improve the 5/8 position.

Adding a Munster, Luai, Walker type 5/8 to this team is essential if we want to challenge for the comp. Can he handle that kind of presence on the field?

Im yet to see it and ill remain a critic until i see him play this well with a dominant 5/8 beside him.

TBH, I think he is playing very well with Mbye along side him, so would a dominate 6 be detrimental to him?
