Brooks performance Sunday just gives the Facebook couch coaches ammunition over keeping benji, the doomsdayers comments have been pretty good reading

I am very happy we let a Benji go but I also don’t think he was responsible for Brooks demise. Brooks has just lost it.

We’ll see. He wasn’t the worst but he was far from great on Sunday. It’s a long season

After Garner and Joey I reckon he was probably the worst. He just had no idea. Was a continuation of last year. As a club we can’t afford to persist with him much longer IMO.

I guess his goal kicking goes alright too?

It was one kick from the sideline, which was also the worst looking kick ever. However, he had a better short passing game, he did one good bomb and his defence has always been top notch.

I’ve gotta say JT had some of the worst looking kicks ever, always low and barely made distance. But he got them over which is all that matters

I saw a lot of Hazem/ JT about that kick from the sideline lol

Surely we plan to sign Schuster:thinking_face:

Worlds largest half

I’d take him @ 13 or backrow

Sheenius

Have you seen Schuster?

He will not end up as a half.

No doubt he had a shocker.

Take out the clangers of kicking out on the full and it's no longer a shocker, just an 'off' game and although he did some good things those clangers were very costly.

I don't expect to see the clangers happen again anytime soon but he is hanging by a thread for me, hopefully AD's return and sorting out our lack of decent hard running will help him.

Huge achievement for Luke as the local junior is set to play his 150th NRL game and **is the first halfback to reach the milestone for the club.**

The playmaker made his NRL debut eight years ago and went on to be named 2014 Dally M Rookie of the Year and 2018 Dally M Halfback of the Year.

That’s says it all really! The reason we haven’t played finals football in so many years.

As a club we don’t do milestones very well ?

Certainly not.. ?

We can talk about Brooks until the cows come home. But for me, he has until the end of season and if he's still producing rubbish or 1 great game followed by 4 ugly games. We use our club resources to shop him elsewhere and look at who's around. I don't care if its Hastings or the young bloke from the rorters or whoever. We just need a halfback that can produce and Brooks is on borrowed time for me. ( regardless of how long he has left on his contract)

He is the one constant in our run of going nowhere. While he can't be soley blamed plenty of others have been blamed for his failure to move his game forward, and are now gone. If the pack stacks up this year and it's same old same old it will be either Maguire or him - each way bet..

I think Brooks will be better for having Douehei alongside him, but it may not start to show this week against Easts who have a similar stifling defence to Canberra with quick line-speed, but more likely in the next couple of rounds after that.
AD seems like a natural leader who's confident enough to pick a strategy and, for better or for worse, back his decision. Brooks looks lost or indecisive too often, but time will tell and I don't see Madge dropping just yet.

And what really gets me mad is surely our players know the rushing defence of Roosters, Raiders etc. But refuse to give themselves another metre of space to execute, get charged down, kick out on the full, caught with the ball.
It totally does my head in and Brooks is a serial offender!

I'd love it if we were the ones to bring back the deep back-line. Players running angles, multiple bodies in motion. With our speed we could pull it off. Jimmy-Jet would benefit massively, probably even BJ with a head of steam (as opposed to bone).
It just seems logical to give youself more space to combat a smothering defence, make them cover more ground and eat into their reserves of stamina.

I'm tired of seeing flat offensive lines. Look at all the dubious passes on Sunday. Fittler was on the money when he warned Tommy Turbo about throwing forward passes a few years back, it's a coach and fan killer and shouldn't happen.

Just seen on nrl 360 that brooks is on $850k a year that can’t be true I can see why he gets bagged a lot he’s in the same class as ash Taylor with that money

maybe benji was watching in the stands. brooks is still affected by benji

Should of passed the ball to Benji in row 5 in the stand as a fitting tribute to the great man.

Would have been easy to spot in his Souff Sydney bunny suit.

Even if it was 700k he is well and truly over paid for what he has delivered.

If he doesnt improve it will be interesting to see if Madge goes down with the ship or makes him one of the highest paid reserve graders.
