New to the site and this is my first comment - been disappointed with Brooks for a little while.

How about this comment from the left field - Daine Laurie as half. Not sure but I thought that I would throw it in and see the reactions.

Daine does seem to have good vision in attack: bit of zip about him and good support player. He has done some good defensive work. Don't know if he is an organizer but he might be worth considering.

He also appears to have a 'lip' which I suppose would be good.

Welcome

imho, we finally have again a proper fb, why would we weaken our fb position to eventually solve the hb? We shall replace like with like, so either Madden, Walters or we sign the new player like Schuster?

Nah keep Laurie where he is.

Some of the stuff you mentioned he can still do as a fullback in the line anyways

**"I’m honoured to have played 150 games for the club"**
https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2021/03/18/brooks-honoured-to-have-played-150-games/

“I’m very honoured to have played 150 games for the club,” Brooks said. “You don’t really think about the individual milestones when you’re playing. I don’t really plan for them but it’s nice when they come along.”

Brooks is looking forward to playing in front of the Wests Tigers faithful in front of a bumper crowd at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

“Playing at one of our home grounds is definitely a good one. It’s our first game at Campbelltown with fans for a while now,” he said.

“It will be good to get out there and it’ll be great to have lots of Members and fans there on Sunday arvo."

Brooks was disappointed with last week’s opening round loss to the Canberra Raiders, but is eager to turn things around in the club’s first home game of the season.

“It wasn’t the best way to start the year, but we know what we need to change this week,” he said.

“It’s a big boost having Adam back. It will be good because that’s what we trained for all pre-season,” he said.

“He adds that extra spark to the attack. He’s a great ball player and it will help us to have him back.

“He grew up playing five-eighth, so it’s something he’s used to, I think that’s his natural position.”

I think Daine would make a good half but he is the only fullback option we have. If only we had two of him.

Hi Pete!

It's a "no" from me. Would rather Daine be preserved for his attacking prowess than be in the firing line to defend every second run near the middle.
He's going to be hard to defend against from the back, we need to play to that strength.

The negativity on here is draining. 150 NRL games for a local junior is a good achievement whether you like him or not

Brooks / or someone even mentioned that he deleted Instagram because he would get threats after playing a game of FOOTBALL . It’s like oeople think these players are immune from negativity
Congrats Brooksy rip in on Sunday!

It's been quite the rollercoaster...but YOU MADE IT!!!
Well done Luke and warmest congratulations on 150 games.
Hope we can pull off the win to further celebrate this achievement and wishing you all the success.

Congrats Brooksy rip in on Sunday!

The positivity for a playmaker who hasn't led his side to one finals performance is draining and boring for some as well

Why is it OK to be positive over a lost cause than it is to be negative and face reality and try and drive change

Some Forum members need to get out of the fairy princess castles ...seriously

The old hasn’t led to a finals series saying must get tiring huh? You sound like a broken record. We get it

Maybe I was bought up differently . I don’t get anything out of being negative. The bloke can’t even have a feel good story without couch coaches putting in their useless 2 cents

The bloke can obviously play. I’ve seen it with my own eyes plenty of times. To solely blame our demise on him is very very short sighted and just selfish IMO.

It’s like he’s the reason we get bashed in the middle by teams like the roosters in the forwards nearly every year

Or the goal kicking to lose close games

Everyone went crazy over Harry and Benji last year, in fact benji for the last 3 years. Where did that get us?

Team sport remember

Harry was our best player by a mile ..unfortuantely due to our pissant recruitment Benji was the best 6 option .....even with his horrible defence

Brooks massively underachieved in 2020 and after game 1 in 2021 ...nothing has changed
