I don't think Sheens will have anything to do with FG unless invited?

Sheens has had a lot to do with Brooks. He visited his home to sign him up as a youngster. Perhaps it is my age but to me this is a not too subtle appointment.

Maybe, but he would not interfere with the NRL team unless invited, he would know and understand this. In fact, I would think Kimmorley would be the sounding board for Brooks.
You are not thinking, he will be planning to oust Madge are you?
It won't happen.

I view it as a Maguire wake up.

I'm pretty sure Sheens does not have oversight of the FG side in the new role and no power or review capacity over Madge.

This is the Tigers grabbing one of the best available minds in Rugby League in Tim Sheens and hiring him to do what ever is needed to feed into the First grade Team.

Madge is the Wests tigers Man to change the soft culture, hes a protected species and should be.

Since Friday, I've seen the Luke Brooks cover tackle on Dylan Edwards repeatedly being shown on game highlights.
Just have to say, that tackle will be long remembered after Brooks retires.
Just like Liddle's amazing length of the field try, Brooks' tackle is there forever.

From the time he took off I think he saw an opportunity to legitimately belt him. I could watch it all night.

as satisfying as Charlie "The Myth" Staines getting run down at the end to knock the ball on

Looks like we might just have ourselves a half back.

I wouldn’t have believed it a few weeks ago. I reckon he is one of the form halves in the whole comp. running game is back. Kicking game is on fire. Tackling people twice his size and belting them. The real Luke brooks has finally stood up. Can he now maintain it????

What I love about brooks is he plays better when players target him, he had fisher Harris trying to start him last week and he gets up and has push and shove with him, doesn’t give a Fk! Later on continues with a bit of a verbal towards fisher Harris. Love to see it!

A lot of players go into the shell after a hit and some dirty play towards them!

My fave will always be when he popped Dane gagai

He’s had a few over the years, I recall a time he head butted a knights forward and a time he put his knee into the face of a manly player. But yeh the gagai one will always stand out.

He’s playing well the last month. I’m not sure why but hope it’s his turning point. It’s great to see him doing well.

**Maguire was blamed for him not playing his best previously, does he also get the credit for getting the best out of him?**

Don't be ridiculous. :joy:

Brooks pace from the halfback position gives our attack a point of difference. Particularly if the forwards are winning the rack as they have done the last few weeks.

Brooks, Laurie, Liddle & Mbye is a very quick spine.

Liddle is quicker than I thought, considering that long range try against Panthers. Talau was beside him when he took off but had to give up after Lids streaked away.

Hookers never used to be known for their speed over a bit of distance. Robbie scored a couple of long range tries too. Regarding Staines inability to run him down.. I see players are reluctant to tackle low from behind because of inexperience, so they need to get closer. It seems odd to me that the same players will dive to score but not to grab a boot?

Back on subject..Brooks must be regarded as being one of the top 3 or 4 halves in the NRL?
On any measure he’s been outstanding for us. I think his form has improved as a result of our forwards winning the fight for control of the centre? Looking forward to Brooksy showing Moses how a half can play.

I thought giving back some of Brooks’ options has helped. Needs a Garner/Blore outside him that will just run straight hard lines, giving him the options to pass short, out the back or to run himself. Had Lawrence doing this for him the first half of his career and as much as I love Lucy that’s just not his game. Finally having targets to aim for on the edges in Douhiei and Talau have had to of helped as well.

Except Lawrence would knock on 9 times out 10.

Cue the Lawrence purists to tell me Lawrence was a great club man

If Garner and Blore end up as good a player as Lawrance was then we are doing very well.

Liddle holds his top speed pretty well ...Brooks did too

Many rugby league players get to their top speed very quickly but after 20-30 metres they can't hold it
