the rumour going round is Tamou confronted Madge in dressing room at half time about how wrong the game plan was and they had a blow up, hence why Tamou didnt play any of the 2nd half

Ironic we brought in a leader and allegedly that leader stood up for his players.

Contrast that to what was been reported in the SMH article.

Well, I don't think he's the type to take criticism well. Once again, an old school coach that doesn't work collaboratively. His way or the highway.

Yeah saw that posted on Facebook. Hate these rumours.

I can't see how any sort of plan involved the players not making tackles.

Interesting, none of the main journo's have got on to it, how legit is facebook with this stuff?

Sheens could be tough, remember Simona and that flick pass. But, Sheens was a communicator and could get his message across in a positive manner. I wish he was back.

Well, I don't think (if true) that, that was a place or time to discuss it either, however they did turn it around a bit in the second half

As the rumour about a blow up with Tamou increase it is becoming more and more obvious we have a problem in the dressing sheds. A few of us were suggesting it earlier in the season. Seen nothing to change the opinion.

Something just isnt right with the playing group or the playing group and the coach.

Itll come out soon, it always does.

Agreed - something not right.

*Sigh*...I want Madge to be successful but it's going to be tough.

I personally think his time is up, but happy to be proven wrong. Even if he's let go, there's no one we can sign to replace him. Maybe we need to bring back Tim Sheens :face_with_rolling_eyes:

I also want Madge to succeed, but if he fails I would take Sheens in an absolute heartbeat every single day. We might have been bad for many years under him, but he had some exciting game plans and he gave us stature.

Coaches need to command respect with their actions, decisions etc. If you don't have player buy-in then demand respect through authority, it's sure-fire way to lose the squad, especially when going through a rough patch.
It's not about being softer, it's about knowing how to create a growth mindset and inspire the players to perform.

I wouldn't say legit at all.

The whole "lost the shed" thing just makes no sense to me. If there's a problem why would you make yourself (the players) look bad if you don't like the coach? Plus that type of behaviour is a slap in the face to fans who put down their hard earned for these players.

The amount of coaches we've had with similar results really suggests that it goes beyond the coach.

What is the rumour?

Had a half time argument. Allegedly.

Not sure about the veracity of the rumour.

I didn't want to do the whole "anonymous source" thing, but it's so frustrating to watch.

I have a very good source saying that there were huge issues last year with senior players disagreeing with him, questioning him on the handling of things etc This is why players left. There were high hopes that things would change but apparently they haven't.

I'm not sure about Tamou, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Madge was the perfect coach with the Cleary team he inherited.

Lots of vets, many felt betrayed...the motivational / hard man stuff worked well and he got us within one game of the finals. I think he suits that kind of scenario. For that team, he was the perfect fit.

But, with a young team that needs coaching...and real game plans...and improvement...and tactical nous...and in game coaching that works...and real defensive structures...Madge is not the man. He is not 'that' type of coach.

John Morris as assistant perhaps? Unlikely he will get another head coach role any time soon given the weak clubs all sacked and replaced their coaches recently. ExWests Tigers player

I don't think Madge hires competent coaches as assistants, fears that they have an eye on his job.

Don't know how he would feel that way 🙂

Tick tock on the Madge clock *if correct*

Absolutely ridiculous if true.

Do any of you honestly believe its Madge's game plan for

* Slow line Speed,
* Pedestrian defence,
* Zero Scramble,
* No repeat sets,
* Misplaced bombs, perhaps there was an instruction to reduce offloads.

Lets face it OUR Tigers have been the Easy beats for the largest part of 20 years.

We are soft and not a club that many players would aspire to join unless they look for easy money and plenty of holidays.

**I am sick of the club that i love as much as life itself being ridiculed.**

We need this coach with a hard work and discipline first approach, it is our only way out of this mess.

Be interesting to hear what the game plan was then. If the plan was to jam up and in from out wide then they succeeded however got burnt every time they did it.

Who of those that left do you honestly miss?

I look forward to more following them out the door.

I only want those who care about the Tigers the way I do here.

Doesn’t really matter they played with no intensity in the first half and did in the second game plan is irrelevant. The team got booed off the field their effort was that poor!!!!!

Players left? There was only one player that left of his own making and he was chasing money.

When is that gogglebox episode airing ?

I didn't want to say anything, but i have a source that he has lost the dressing room completely.
He lost it last year and has been struggling to get it back. Not a good man manager, but manages upwards well.
**The complaints I heard is that he's not straight with the players i.e. says one thing, does another etc Sometimes players don't really know what he wants from them.**

Interesting. I heard the same last year in regards to a departing player (being told he was definately going to be given a contract only to be told in the last round of the year they changed their mind) . I raised it on here but was shot down because everyone thinks he is direct. I was also told ( keep in mind Josh Reynolds was not departing at this time) that end of year review Madge told both Mbye and Reynolds they would be his 5/8 this year. Some strange goings on thats for sure.
