As much as we all are disappointed after the Cows game,it is only rnd 6 coming up...played 2 top teams to start beat Newy and got a lesson in complacency by the Cows...

Madge is entitled to be dirty at the team,Noffa plays way better than he did and our spine is trying to get some sort of combos together...overall this should be the game that makes or breaks the team and coach...
the team realistically has to be responsible for their lack of enthusiasm in the game..
People can bag the coach or blame his regime, but ultimately if your in an NRL side with a contract then you should perform to that standard and not make excuses for your shortcomings...
This week will test the internal fortitude of this team and see if they have learnt from their mistakes last game...they showed they can play well as shown in the second half, but they must be consistent against Souths otherwise they will be trounced and the season will gradually be an after thought...

Its the complacency bit that bugs me with WT. We have had that problem almost since inception. What the hell is it? For crissake they're professional athletes paid to perform yet time and time again their heads arent there. The top teams dont really get it but I will admit sometimes they do but rarely, Do we need a side kick with Maguire to keep this mental 'in tune' happening? Is accepting mediocre performances with a shrug part of the issue when maybe a kick up the backside and demotion for the foreseeable future better?

Maybe he needs to sit on the sideline
like Ricky.

That first try blew us off the park. It was premeditated. Payten well knows Nofoaluma’s shortcomings. For us it was bad but for RL, brillant.

It was going to be a try well before it got near Nofo. The edge defence was nonexistent creating an immediate overlap with a large amount of space to work in.Nofo stuffed up badly in 2 tries after that but the first try was not on him

I read a story via Apple News today (I think it was on Fox) which basically said the same thing. Whilst Nofo had a poor game, he was often in no-man's land because Roberts was out of position and he had to come in.

I have to restrain from bashing my head against a wall when people insist Nofo has to stay on his wing regardless of what plays unfold. As has been said many times before, it just means they score through the middle rather than on the edge. In games like Sunday, where kicking ended up a factor in the result, we need oppositions to have the hardest kicks possible if they score.

Clearly stopping tries is better, but we need to be working as a defensive unit, not having people flying out of the line or being out of position and missing their man.

Sharks sign Fitzgibbon to 3 year deal, Morris would be a handy get for us

Depth in the halves would be handy...

Yes it would, hopefully that will be rectified ASAP

You might be right but that means every centre who has played inside Nofo must have been doing the same thing.
He never gets better no matter who he is next to.

2 centres and 2 wingers with speed and ability are what i think we need , then the halves may have something to work with.

We have to sign a defensive centre inside Nofa like Josh Morris. We need some team balance. Similarly the same can be said for a centre defending near Luciano. Some players have weaknesses but also massive strengths we have to build a squad that complements each other. This year we have had Roberts inside Nofa and BJ defending near Luciano.

Morris is exactly what is wanted moving forward ..Young ..professional ..knows the new game and growing with it ..has made the finals the last 2 seasons with a roster similar to the Tigers . Can someone enlighten me the last time the Tigers played in a final ? Don't say Morris is untested he certainly is tested !

The info coming out of the Sharks is he is not straight with the players.

Wow, didn't know they sacked him. I would sign him as an assistant right now.

To be honest, I wouldn't have Madge making this decision. It is obvious he needs help so I would bring in that help.

Definitely. Seems to get on really well with the players and did good with the sharks. Tigers should be all over it!

This is exactly what's required but the old dinosaur would be concerned for his job ...this appointment actually could save his job and a succession plan moving forward for the club .Maguire needs someone that has moved with the new game Morris fits the bill .

I wouldn't want him as a head coach now, but as an assistant to Madge 100% yes.
