How very interesting and convenient that Tigers Public Enemy Number 1, fiction writer Michael Chammas, has a detailed interview with Chariman Mouth today in the SMH. Everytime Chairman Mouth opens his mouth he further erodes confidence in Club Leadership, in my opinon, and only reinforces that that is the major issues to be addressed before I, and I suspect many others, feel any confidence that things can improve in team performance.

Chammas, of course, is the prime WT rumour spreader and our Chairman loves media attention. Coincidence?? I think not.

I think the opposite.

The only way Wests tigers will get a good reputation with the media is by controlling the narrative.

This is one time I must commend Lee.

An Honest Q and A, immediately following all the articles and ongoing speculation just to bring everyone up to speed.

We need to be more forthcoming with our access to the media. If we don’t the media will only create stories anyway to generate the clicks. So we might as well use it to our advantage and give them what we want them to hear.

Get out. You're making too much sense!

This is why you employ smart and competent people to deal with the media .. these days with click bait that’s what its all about .. the media dept these days is one of the most important at the club , all about persecution and good communications.

Hypocritical of Lee to criticise certain people of playing out things in the media. He seems to love doing that himself.

Certainly doesn’t hate seeing his name in the papers, I would prefer a bit less yapping from him it’s been more destabilising than anything.

I think Lee is well intentioned but the interview he gave last night to explain why the Madge saga played out as it did was unnecessary and just added to the club's embarrassment over the whole drawn out saga.

He could've easily done that in a members exclusive email.... Yeah it'd get to the media eventually but no he HAD to do it this way.
Cannot help himself

I actually think it might be a good idea talking to Chammas. I was thinking of this last night. Certain members of the media are completely unscrupulous and my first instinct is that they should be excluded but the reality is that they are always going to be there and will report on us regardless and so it might be better to have them inside the tent than outside.

Wouldnt surprise me if that is what Lee is doing. If so it would demonstrate a change in strategy which would be welcome.

The board and club have a fail safe .. Tim Sheens moves straight in if there are problems next season !

Tim Sheens would have zero hope of being able to coach a current NRL side.
People seem to forget his record after leaving here … as well as his last year at the Tigers.

I believe at most Sheens will be a conduit between Maguire and the rest of the organisation. ***He won't be coaching anything.***

Just making the team selections.

Tuesday evenings on here will have the place in complete meltdown.

On a serious note, I am looking forward to having Sheens back around the organization because I think he can make a valuable contribution , was never happy about the way his departure was handled last time he was here.

Just goes to show that nothing has really changed in the way this organization handles these kinds of situations and how certain sections of the media are only too happy to seize the opportunity to run the Wests Tigers down.

If nothing else changes, with the return of Sheens we may at least be treated a bit better by the scum bag clowns in the media, in the short term at least.

Apart from Farah I can’t think of anyone who fits the bill?

Rowdy

Absolutely. Wouldn't blame Rowdy if he didn't want to ever step through the doors again for us though. We wasted his career.

Pat Richards would be another I'd love to see involved more with the club.

Both Rowdy and Pat Richards are employed by the club. It is weird, we use our former players so poorly, you never ever hear from any of them, even the ones employed by the club. We have a wealth of former players who would talk positively about the club and counter some of the negative rubbish that gets driven by Blocker, Benny and co. Using our own former players will build the identity of the club, at the moment it is like a player stops playing for us and they cease to exist. I spoke to Galloway at an Ambush event earlier in the year and asked him about his current involvement and he said he absolutely no involvement with the club but you could tell there was a desire to be involved.

Why isn't the club using these guys to generate positive stories about the club.

Massive shame isn't it. If you look at the 2005 Premiership winning team I've barely heard a single name mentioned from that team in many years. Even the 2010/11 teams you barely hear a name mentioned any more. Surely there's a few blokes that could be utilized to drum up a bit of positivity around the club.

Gibbs and Fulton together would liven things up

I actually think that this would be genius. On a superficial level they would be a foil to Madges personality.

My wife and I each have a premium membership and will keep them. We support the Wests Tigers and would never put any coach, player or other individual above the club (even Robbie!). We have stuck solid through thick and thin and believe that's what members and fans do.

I'm not looking for any pats on the back for this but we will always support whoever the club appoints. so the outcome of the review has had no impact on our support. I'm glad to see Madge continue with the passion and belief that he wears on his sleeve.

Here's to better times ahead!

Enjoy your wooden spoon next season to eat your soup with, because that’s where we are heading!

He didn't deserve that response.

Obviously not directed especially at him but the general Madge lovers with their massive blinkers on! Can’t stand the ignorance of some people!

Do they really even watch the games, as I said previously I have supported the club through numerous wooden spoons and this is the worst we have looked by a mile!

38-0 to the wooden spooners!

Do you want a medal, or a chest to pin it on? Big whoop, you followed to Maggies when they sucked. I followed Balmain from the early 90's into Wests Tigers. Not much to cheer about there either.

I think anyone who has followed Wests Tigers since it's inception understands what disappointment is. Some people are happy to stick it out through thick and thin. Would have thought an old Magpie or Balmain fan would understand that. I mean after all, we're all still here...?

Yes I understand, but just hit my limit. I don’t hate the club or Pascoe I think he bring a lot of business sense to the club.
The old magpie and tigers side that were poor, always tried always gave heart. Not this side, just going backwards under this coach, they just don’t click! This side is slot better than they are showing,
Look I need a break, everyone that knows me knows who I support. I live and breathe it, I’ll clock back on when this coach is rightfully removed!

Yeah that's fair enough, you're entitled to feel the way that you feel. I just don't get that some people are only deciding now that it's enough when the club has been a shambles since inception and both founding clubs before that weren't crash hot either.

Club has made their decision, time to see whether it pays off. The last ten years suggest not. I would think that some players need to go if they are backing the coach. Keeping Madge and all the players will not see improvement next year. It will be more of the same.
