Its interesting that the 3 who had contract extensions (Nofa/Musgrove and Brooks)were 3 of our absolute worst on Sunday(albeit in a crowded field). That says something about the culture. What are these guys thinking...?
Id drop Brooks particularly in a heartbeat...get those eggshells out!!
**Seperately, the LAST thing we need rite now is another demanding empathy free coach like Farah helping out..**we need a man manager to assist.Maybe John Morris for rest of season as attack coach...?
Weve got an easier draw over next month which will determine Madges future

stuff the snowflakes.... make em or break em!

Being precious fairies obviously isnt working for them, making men out of them might. Or they can hit the bricks.

Before the season began, we were predicted to finish towards the bottom of the ladder.

A lot of people thought we'd challenge for the 8, including myself. Our roster isn't as bad as our results suggest.

Our roster IS that bad.
For the last 10 years the same people (mostly) are in denial of this and predicted we would be top 8, often top 4!
It's as unrealistic as Bulldogs fans who thought they would make the 8.
Heart over head, or something like that...

I'm pretty realistic about us as a team and haven't been confident of making the 8 for years. In saying that, I think our roster is a lot better than our results suggest. It's the best roster we've had in quite a few years imo.

Agree, just hard to explain why they are not having a go at least?

My opinion is there is a huge disconnect between the playing group and the coach.

Our current squad unfortunately would react more positively to a softly-softly, bum-patting coach. The soft as butter style fairy coach like Ivan.
Maguire is too hard for these blokes......hell he would be odds-on to bash nearly all of them to a man if it came to a stink. That sums the current situation up.

Ivan's approach seems to be working for the Panthers.

Chair throwing and other displays of anger do not necessarily assist in getting the message across to players.

Dont bother telling Bellamy his tactics dont work

Bellamy only has to do it every now and then. Madge has to do it halftime, full time every week. Starts to lose it's effectiveness

The media coming out in support of Madge feels agenda-driven. He must be one of the boys.

Nah just means they have articles to write all year about coaching situation ... standard tactic
Smash the coach early in season , once seems on outer they back said coach to drag out the outcome and when sacked they can do interviews with said coach and fill up material a bit more along with fluff pieces for new coach

Missing Latrell really hurts honestly. That one signing could have changed everything for us. He's been so good this year. I know someone who is closely involved with the club and everyone involved was pretty confident we'd gotten him too.

Glad we didnt get him, he is a thug.

Please don't say that, you'll hurt his feelings.

Well, I mean in season 2021. I may have missed it. Have I? You can tell us when it's happened?

Didn’t he just have a tanti and senior players had to tell him his mouthing off isn’t working?

It was brought up on the forum. I grew up with a family member of the player and I asked him about what was going on and he just confirmed what was said on here.

I guess you can take what people on here say with a grain of salt but I have nothing to gain from making up stories.

Madge just needs to blow them a few kisses like the traitor and all our problems will disappear.

He’s living in the early 2010’s still

The high completion rate boring style of grinding footy. I don’t blame some of the players but it’s clear from an outsider looking in madges style of play just doesn’t work in today’s game

We had a heavy flow of possession for the first 30 mins yet seemed happy to plod along and try and grind our way to victory. A real team would have put their foot on the throat...not us and I put that on madges tactics.

As soon as the possession started to even out manly went stuff this and had blokes isolating defenders/quick play the balls/enter tommy turbo and we were cooked.

You can play like that if you can defend well all game but even then the top teams will score points against you no matter what.
