Which is why we have to stick solid. That process is a large part of the problem. The cycle needs to be broken.

2.5 more of years of this is not sustainable. We won’t survive as a club.

Wow 30 long Years lol
Reviewing the Madge tread and comments here's my 5 cents for what it's worth.

We have the Media hype after winning against Newcastle, Brooks running game, Madge a genius, Mybe won't be let go, officially we are a bottom 8 team.

We cannot string 2 wins together in a row and sadly this season we are worst than last year so far.

Press conference it's the same old crap, Lose its about 3:30 mins, Win and about 7 mins.

We should of won against the Warriors but alas our Defense and simple mistakes let us down, Madge will see out this year but i would be making a change at season end, there is a disconnect between the playing roster and coach.

Nonesense, of course the club will survive.

How are we going to survive 2.5 more years of these performances Mike? You seem happy to continue on with the status quo of poor performances for the sake of stability. It’s already impossible for us to attract good players, how are we going to attract them after another 2.5 years of miserable performances?

We need to break the cycle of players bludging, getting the coach sacked and the players never being accountable for their bad performances. Things will turn around as the players get the message that their behaviour wont get them another contract.

Then why does he keep picking Talau?
Why did they extend Nuffoluza for 4 more years knowing he can’t defend?
Why is his bench rotation crap ?

Because it all comes down to eggshells
Our players are soft and complain at being dropped
Just ask Benji

If they are soft why does he keep picking them ?
Egg shells was JRey

Thats what we are all asking, what we all want to know, why does he keep picking them or better yet why doesn't he actually hold the players accountable for there actions or lack off

Maybe he knows much better than us that the depth isnt good enough for NRL level yet and would be far more disasterous on the younger players and the club itself...

I'd be careful bringing those young guys into the current first grade team aswell. If our plan is to build from within then they need time.
Having said that Madge should be getting better results from the top 20.

Yeah, I agree with this. Madge and the plan seems good, but the team is struggling in the fundamentals of the game (line speed, pressuring the kicker, marker defense, wingers holding their position in the line). It either highlights that you need better players to do the basics well, or Madge's coaching is no good. I still feel its too early to tell which way.

I have yet to see a game coached by Maguire that has made me think, "we're in good hands here..."

I felt that multiple times under Cleary, which impressed me given the length of his coaching stint with us.

I do not think Madge is a good coach. A nice guy, maybe. But a winner? Nope. We need someone *like* Shane Flanagan.

Well actually Madge has a positive win record im basically every column - 56% as Kiwi coach, 58% in finals matches, 51% all NRL career, 75% in UK Super League.

So technically he's a winner, even despite the abysmal 38% win at Tigers. However name me the coach with a positive win record at Tigers... I'll save you the research: there isn't one.

You say Ivan impressed you but he and Madge have basically had the same Tigers career so far - Ivan won 18/43 (42%) and Madge is 21/54 (39%). Madge inherited Ivan's mess, Ivan arguably inherited JT's mess, but Tedesco, Woods and Slimey didn't leave under Madge's watch.

As much as I hate Cleary, with the squad he had to work with it was a miracle that he had that record.
Cleary would take the current squad to the top 8.

I don't know how you could possibly say that, he had 2 Origin reps in his side (Tedesco, Woods) and he hand-picked the replacement players with the huge sum of money that became available with the departure of them and Moses. He picked Mbye, he picked Packer and Tui Lolohea, he picked Reynolds. Basically all of Ivan's top-tier purchases failed, and I'll pass Matulino who was OK until he retired. The spending was as wasteful and counter-productive as the original 2000 purchases by the new JV.

I don't think Madge has ever had anywhere near that kind of salary cap space to operate in. And more than that, since Ivan, the club no longer allows the coach to have carte blanche, so Madge has even less freedom. It's probably called "The Ivan Rule" within Tigers, to stop a coach going on a spending spree for short-term results, when they actually have one view on the horizon to leave anyway.

You can’t be serious.

We will get into the 8 next year and a lot of fickle supporters will not remember this conversation?

I sometime wonder if fans remember anything before 2019? Tigers were horrendous under Mick Potter, with what is probably our best roster since 2010. Tigers were ordinary under JT and all the best players left when Ivan came in. Tigers were horrendous in 2001-2002 and that's not even including the Hopoate finger disgrace. Balmain and Wests were themselves horrendous in the 90s for long periods.

Wests Tigers will always find a way to survive.

I can recommend 200ml of Fifth Leg Rose ( Margaret River) on sale at Liquorland for about $10, usually around $20. It's a soothing panacea after another disastrous WTs' weekend. I recommend at second glass if it doesn't have the desired impact.

Mate do you follow Tigers? One glass won't even do the job for 10 minutes of watching Tigers. The whole bottle is almost certainly required.

And if Tigers play on Thursday or Friday, you may need the case to cover the weekend.

Further to this, who did Ivan BRING to Penrith? He's basically brought in ex-Tigers support players - Rob Jennings, Huth, Momirovski.

You can't take away that he has the Panthers firing on all cylinders right now, but if I'm not mistaken basically the entire Top 30 besides the above ex-Tigers were already at the club when Ivan re-joined. Sorry, he signed two ex-sharks too: Capewell and Sorensen.
