James Roberts in a recent interview says "he loves the Tigers and he loves the club".
It's a phrase I am hearing again and again when players mention the Tigers.
Whatever Madge is doing, he is doing this one thing right. The players he is keeping onside.
Even Mbye who was on the outer, is being managed well.
Maybe Madge isn't managing the bench rotation well. Maybe there are tweeks here and there. But if everyone is saying "we like playing at the Tigers", and we are training hard. Then we are building well.
We see how Parra has been torn apart by infighting. We want players to stay with the Tigers and build their careers here. We want people saying were a good club because that will attract talent.
How many years has it taken Brad Arthur at Parra, ? Building takes time. Madge is getting the culture right.
I was subscribed to this line of thinking but the atrocity that is the way this team is coached to defend (particularly in the context of the current rule interpretations) is putting us in a position that makes it very very hard to win football games.
True.
I was listening to how the Storm got Slater and two others to re-coach their attack too the new 6 again rules.
Yet being honest, our attack is fine. It could be better but when teams loose 66-0 we often score a few (not always but we dont get wiped out AS much as others)
Our Defense is the problem. It has always been a problem and under the new rules we get caught out of position a lot more.
