I’m hearing theres a bigger issue at the Tigers which will spill out. The group is split. It has been reported before but there’s a pro Madge camp, detractors and in between. I trust who told me this but again it may not be right and unfair on some players so take it with a grain of salt.

Pro Madge Luciano, Blore, Utoikamanu, Tamou, Laurie, Maumalo, Mikalele, Douihei, Simpkin, Simpkins. There are detractors in Brooks, Nofa, Mbye, Liddle.

The club has to make a decision to move players on, the coach or both. The issues are known and no one will sign at the Tigers. The other issue is the detractors have a word straight to the top causing distrust in the team and coaching staff.

I sense Sheens will remember this happening to him in a past life. I wouldn’t be so certain Madge is sacked.

Management are aware the team is not good enough even playing at full potential but unless they sort it out nothing will happen. If I was a betting man you may see a player clean out and it may or may not include the coach.

This has a sense of credibility for me. If it is true, I'd stick with Madge and get rid of Brooks, Nofo and Liddle. Thank goodness Mbye is gone. Shouldn't be too hard to find a home for Brooks and Liddle but we might have to cough up a fair chunk of Nofo's pay.
I have been slowly changing my mind on Madge. I'd let him have next year on the basis that a big improvement is needed for him to keep his job beyond 2022. That would almost certainly mean making the top 8.

This is where the issue is. He nor anyone else won’t make this squad a top 8 team next year.
Does another coach help recruitment or are the club prepared to ride the media barrage for a rebuild. These are the real questions that matter.

We need to accept we will end 10th at best next year. Does a new coach buy time for leadership?

My take is simple if you can get Ciraldo or Ryles with Sheens in charge you have to make the move. If not it makes no sense to pay out a coach and sign any English coach, Flanagan, Morris.

Get rid of players that don’t want to be here no matter the names and cost. Build with the players that will play hard and bring through kids. It’s a long term play but there’s no way out of this.

Jeez I think 10th would be an achievement. Not finishing last as well

We will improve next year the squad is young and many players are getting better. It’s not all doom and gloom when you accept it’s a rebuild. Our leaders need to accept the reality. It’s bordering on delusional anyone expected a higher finish than 13th.

Lucy? Would have to be off him for BJ’s treatment

Not Lucy but I’m not going to confirm who it’s because it would give someone up. It’s someone on that list that you would probably least expect. It has been reported here recently though

Not really. Keeps moving him around and didn’t make him skipper when he probably should of.

Madge was proven right to move him out of the halves. Played his best football in the centre’s.

We were so awful all year I don’t know who should play where anymore.

I’d keep him at 6 if we had better second rowers.

Imagine if it was Stefano. Stefano, Brooks and Noffa the anti Madge brigade. As if people aren’t conflicted enough in their dislike of Madge, Noffa and Brooks. Suddenly Stefano is in the mix. I think most would settle for Maguire to stay if Brooks and Noffa move on, but what if Stef goes too 😦

How about this. Would people rather lose Madge, OR Noffa and Brooks, but the catch is that Stefano goes too. How much are the haters prepared to sacrifice. Then we’d have a squad in harmony with the coach and the mutineers banished.

What leaders ? I fail to see how this squad will improve magically in the off-season. I don’t see us finishing outside the bottom 4 with this Current squad plus the poms

I hate these sort of riddles, but if there was one player there who doesn't look like a Madge fan on that list I'd say it was Tamou. He sometimes doesn't get put back on the field, he missed the last three games with a broken toenail and he seems to have very little interest in the club. For iinstance, you hear Stefano coming back from Origin camp raving about Finucane in training, and Tamou was supposed to be that leader here, but no one ever says anything like that about him.

And directly following his assertion regarding “underlying issues” he stated..”look I love Madge” the next word to come from him should have been “but”.
I think we can’t move forward until we know what these “underlying issues” are, regardless of how many players, coaches, administrators, board members are sacked.

The detractors are all shit players.. with one already gone .. just piss off the rest as they’re totally useless anyway

Punt Brooks, Nofa AND Madge. None are adding any value to the club and we are better off without them.

Getting rid of brooks and Nofa wouldn't suddenly fix Madge's issues, he has to go either way.

It wouldn't suprise me if it was true. The weakest links want Madge to go and i speak as a man who appreciates more than most what Nof and Brooks have put on the field.Good to see the future nucleus of our team reportedly want to keep him

Liddle was the only player dropped after the Tommy game. Tuki was dropped after one bad missed tackle late in the season never to return. Others have been singled out after losses this season. If you were some of these players dropped and then look at the performances of those who werent dropped im sure youd be questioning the coach playing favorites as well.

Im surprised the list isnt larger.

BJ has not been treated badly,he is reportedly getting good money and has delivered diddly squat

You would think Twal is another that is pro Madge (regardless of his two best mates leaving the club). Hasn’t missed a tackle since round 16, always busts his guts when playing. If the info is correct regarding a fracture in the playing group, I am glad it’s the old boys club that is anti Madge. Getting rid of the dead wood might help in fixing the problem.

Brooks, Mbye, Liddle and Nofa have all been dropped by Madge. If the coaches have tried everything to get the best from them, then they should follow Mbye.

The most pain less option is to exercise the mechanism the club apparently has written into Maguire's contract extension (as reported by Chammas). If true, the WTs were aware of concerns about Maguire's relationships with players since April 21. These concerns were serious enough to have that mechanism included (and thankfully it was written into his extension). Perhaps our Chairman and CEO are on top of this matter? It certainly seems that way.

If only they put clauses into the contracts of former high paid recruits that said they had to contribute something (anything) to the club. They’re on top of nothing but constant failure.
