The board and admin issues need to be fixed, so does the roster, but those are going to take more time. The coach that actually has the defense getting worse needs to be replaced. Who would have thought that when we finished something like the last 10 games last year conceding at least 30 points a game that the defense would actually be worse this year? It is crazy to thinks about, there were points this year where Madge basically admitted he didn't know why it was happening.

It wasn't just the senior players though, AD at times had no idea what he was doing in defence, Talua as well. We very rarely defend as a team, its individuals making individual decisions. We were so passive in defence, not just some players but as a team, we would wrap the ball up and hold guys upright when the current game is won in the collision. Our defense was outdated and excuted poorly.

? I’m fine if they all resign and get new people in. I don’t support a coach I support the Club. I just don’t feel these people represent the fans and stakeholders in the Wests tigers they serve themselves.

The bad thing is everything they are saying in this case is true. Fans are being enlightened on what some of us have known for years. The coach debate which for the footy side is key is actually not important. Ownership and leadership need to change. Not sure how but it has to. Souths are a good example.

They should have gone after Shane Richardson a few years ago.

Using two examples from the club of Canterbury to show just how hard it is to pin deficiencies on a coach.

Dean Pay: Dean pay was the Defence coach at Canberra and was praised by sticky and the players alike for improving Canberra’s defence.
Being at Canberra since 2014 he was credited for for putting the steel into the the Canberra’s line.
So in 2018 it was expected that Pay would be able to keep the defence in check and improve the clubs attack.

“I’ve got my own ideas about how we’re going to attack,” Pay told the show.

“I thought the boys defended pretty well this year, they were right up the top there with their defence.”

End of 2017 the Bulldogs finished with a For and Against of 360 (last) and 455 (7th).

End of 2018 under the first season of Pay the Bulldogs finished with a For and Against of 428 (13th) and 474 (9th).

End of 2019 326 (last) 477 (8th)
End of 2020 pay left half way through the year

If you do your own research I think you’ll find a large majority of our points scored this season have come when we’re in a losing position. At times this season the attack is just as bad if not even worse than the defence

No but he improved our attack from when Ivan was coaching the team.

In regards to the defence question, it’s hard to make that statement in isolation to the events of the past 2 years.

Using two examples from the club of Canterbury to show just how hard it is to pin deficiencies on a coach.

Dean Pay: Dean pay was the Defence coach at Canberra and was praised by sticky and the players alike for improving Canberra’s defence.
Being at Canberra since 2014 he was credited for for putting the steel into the the Canberra’s line.
So in 2018 it was expected that Pay would be able to keep the defence in check and improve the clubs attack.

“I’ve got my own ideas about how we’re going to attack,” Pay told the show.

“I thought the boys defended pretty well this year, they were right up the top there with their defence.”

End of 2017 the Bulldogs finished with a For and Against of 360 (last) and 455 (7th).

End of 2018 under the first season of Pay the Bulldogs finished with a For and Against of 428 (13th) and 474 (9th).

End of 2019 326 (last) 477 (8th)
End of 2020 pay left half way through the year
But end of season their For and Against; 282 (last) 504 (12th)

Result is Canterbury’s attack failed to improve and their defence deteriorated.

Excited by this Canterbury signed Barrett and started to overhaul their roster with a bit of sting in Thompson and Hetherington and a bit of flare in Allen and Cotric. End of this year; their For and Against ended up being, 340 (last ) and 710 (14th).
