Maguire Signs Until End of 2023

Why not wait until the season ends & see where we finish & most importantly how we've played as a team. How long has his existing contract got to run ??

End of 2021

Yes. And give him the keys.
Always wanted the tiges to be very strong defensively.
We have been bashing other teams lately. Its great

No, lets not rush in maybe see if JT has a new powerpoint display.

Yes of course we should extend for at least 2 more years with extra bonus for wins over;

The Rorters
Lord Voldemort
Slimey Eels
Cammy
Latrell

Wow. You’re all in a panic.

Don’t know about a panic, I think people are seeing that Madge is taking us in the right direction. There’s no rush to extend him though

I think it’s emotion after a good win. He needs to get us in the 8 before he gets any kind of extension.

Each to there own, but I've seen enough to extend him. He's earnt the right to have access to the entire salary cap, which won't be until 2023.

We all have our opinions in regard to extending Madge....lets look at it from the inner sanctum point of view...do the board see that Madge is changing the culture of the club all round,is the team becoming a defensive hard hitting dynamo, are the players responding to his hard line performance reviews and excepting being dropped for non performance and finally is Madge genuinely guiding players so that they become better players and persons..

In my opinion he is a special to get extended,he is what this club has been lacking for such a long time and is respected by the players as well...just my opinion .....

Sign him now. Even if we don’t make the 8 this year, we’re not going to get there any faster with another coach and will probably go backwards.

I do not want to go through another period with a coach wanting his style of players in the squad. Madge has us heading in the right direction.

Sign the guy now before other clubs start thinking he might be the right guy to help them. I know the bulldogs would be keen for a madge right now.

Maybe if the team could win 3 games on the trot and the finals are achieved ! Let’s not get caught up with a couple of wins some real success might be a prerequisite to an extension !

Well we know we are from pawwa chasing him

M n M would quit if they got Madge

That team of flogs wouldn't be the same team of flogs if M n M left

I dont think you can look at in simple terms like that. It's the same way the dogs viewed Dean pay. I.e. He hasn't achieved higher success so it must be the coaching.

There's far more circumstances at play here. Do we think he's achieved well with the roster and can we see a plan to accelerate in the future? Those would be my questions.

Let's be honest, we aren't a desirable club. Especially if we keep throwing coaches away. One used us as a doormat because we're not yet ballers. We can't act like we are until we are.

Let's keep our premiership winning coach before a smarter or wealthier team sees what we can't.

If MaGuire truly believes what he is building ..why would he leave to go to an equally struggling Club..the top teams seem covered so he would be no better off.. he would have to start again there

Doesn't appear to be the character the previous flog turned out to be..no one is throwing him away he has a contract for next year..just as chopping and changing coaches is not a good strategy neither is locking one in long term before they have achieved anything..look at the Donkey's..Siebs is working great for them..

MaGuire also doesn't appear to be the type to jump ship either..seems very focussed on the now with an eye on the future ..wouldn't even think he would be thinking beyond that..

Finish the year strongly extensions will take care of themselves..won't even be a blip or distraction..
