Maguire will wait and see with Farah but won't take risks

Robbie Farah is expected to train with the Wests Tigers tomorrow morning as part of his bid to play this week. He will be named in the squad. I’m amazed he is even being considered. One tough hombre @9NewsSyd @NRLonNine

I'm a fan of Farah but if he plays it is completely stupid by both himself and Tigers management. We've been humming along nicely. No need to change things. Only Mbye comes back (if he's fit).

Farah will run out as Captain, play until the painkillers wear off and Reynolds will finish the game.
Farah just being on the field will be enough to inspire us to victory.

Then he will end up with a complete leg break, we will lose the game, miss the finals again and Robbie will end up watching his Leichhardt farewell from a hospital bed.

I’m really not liking where this is going. Playing against a physical side like Cronulla, in the most crucial game of the year, only 3 weeks after fracturing your tibia is complete madness! Robbie, please think about your long term health and what’s best for the team here - they are on a good roll the way they are, let’s not mess with that now.

I only care about the result, not the process. Having said that the sharks are a grubby team and will try and twist his leg off at every opportunity.

The Benji and Reynolds duo had been great, but untested against a good defence.

Whatever happens, I put my money on hindsight being right.

I can only hope Robbie dosent play for his own sake, there are a couple of sharks forwards in Gallen and Prior who will deliberately target his Tibia to inflict as much stress as possible.
Gallen has already done such disgusting attacks in the past to other players injuries he has no shame

He was always going to be named in the squad. Being named and actually playing are two very different things.

In the last 2 games our halves have been receiving quick clean ball from DH and as a result Brooks and Marshall have probably played their best games of the season. And points have flowed according Farah has not been able to provide that. Grub has also provided energy and spark. Would anyone really consider changing this simply to play someone who would more than likely breakdown in the first 10.

Lol, Reynolds had very little to do with our victories. His service out of dummy half is not fast.

Just your opinion TB,I had the pleasure of watching the WTS demolish the Knights when they played at Campbo….when Grub came on the level of enthusiasm and spark lifted to another level, the team didn't capitulate as they used to do...as far as beating the Dragons on Sunday,Grub once again provided the enthusiasm and spark to get the team home....Peter Stirling who I consider one of the greatest halfbacks to play the game said 'Reynolds has been very good again today, his service from dummy half has been excellent'...so I think I will take the comment from someone who knows the game well, rather than a critic who may know a lot less....Grub has been great and had he not had injuries we may have been in the top 8 a fair while ago...

This..... absolutely agree.

If he plays, does not perform and we lose, it will not be a Leichhardt farewell, it will be a Leichhardt lynching

I think he has been named out of respect, for his contribution to the side this year and overall. It's the right thing to do when you are dealing with men who believe in being rewarded and acknowledged for contribution. It is quite possibly his last opportunity to play again, and they should make sure he is given every opportunity to get fit even if it means he has little hope. Good man and team management in my view.

This! it's out of respect. Show he is part of the team and club. Classy thing to do. He's not playing, it's simply acknowledging his contribution to the club.

Nailed it. Madge won't play him if he's not right.

I personally don’t think Robbie should play. There is no way he could be 100% fit, and that would be detrimental to the team. However if he does play the crowd at Leichhardt will go off.

As much as i don't agree with the way they go about it, if you walk over that white line on to the field of battle then you are declaring yourself fit and you will want to be able to stand up and take the medicine that comes with playing one of the most brutal sports on the planet. If not, then sit in the grandstand with the rest of us.

Maguire needs to consider the prospect of us winning without him, which is totally possible, so it gives him an extra week for it to heal. He should put his trust in the 17 guys who have done the job the last two weeks. The sky won't fall if he has to.

Wests Tigers star Robbie Farah, with coach Michael Maguire set to make a final call on the hooker after Thursday’s closed training session.

I thought it was Tues 😛

I think Farah has been an outstanding player for a long long time. Also I trust Maguire’s judgement.

So it’s with trepidation that I ask .......

Hasn’t our attack looked it’s fastest and most slick these last two weeks?
