March for Change

Ok everyone, at what point is enough enough? We have steadily declined in the last 11 years to the point where it feels like rock bottom. We are almost certainly going to get the wooden spoon and just conceded 72 points!!! I think the Dragons and Raiders could put 50 on us too.

But what if it’s not rock bottom? If we concede ridiculous points in games early next year under yet another (scapegoat) coaching regime, surely some big big changes are needed.

I’m pencilling in round 10 next year. If we are still the laughing stock of the league I say we march down to our shiny new gym/community centre and tell them once and for all they are not good enough to lead Wests Tigers. Not suggesting violence or anything silly, just people power. You can’t boast about having 400,000 fans and 20,000 members when very few of them are happy.

It's a nice thought that if enough fans march the club will do something about it, but the reality is they won't. The club for whatever reason still has tens of thousands of members and a factor of 20 or 30 again would still spend money going to games when it suits or on merchandise.

Whilever the fans financially support the club, the owners will sit on their hands and do nothing.

Three board members are there until they decide the don't want to be, or die.

A march won't achieve anything but give the media more fodder.

I just cancelled my membership. I can’t physically stand to pour any more emotion into this club.

I’ve been wrestling with it all day, but I just keep coming back to the fact if the players don’t give a crap about this club, why should I keep torturing myself.

Good chance I’ll get sucked back in over the off season but maybe it’s time to find something else in life.

For me it’s about showing the club what could be. I have personally committed about $200 of my money to the club this year and attended a big one game. I would probably be prepared to spend 10 times that if we were even a top eight club. They may think they are doing okay financially well look where we are. We are not okay. We are the worst team in the NRL.

I’m in!

Our players looked like they had passed a doobie around about 10 minutes before kick off
Big Kenny looks like that all the time.

Maybe it's the only way he makes it onto the field with that knee of his.

That medical marijuana might be good but you can't beat the real thing.

I canceled mine last year after the end of season review. I knew this year and the immediate future was grim. I had at least six phone calls from the club trying to get me back. I had reserved seats at all home games for about 15 years along with two other guys. So we are talking over 15g in membership. Not once did the club ask me why we were not renewing.

Anyway as badly as the club is managed , I still feel for them because they have dug such a deep hole there is a real chance they will never get out of it.

I can’t believe all these people suggesting that we stop financially supporting the club.

I always donate generously to charitable causes.

Without the Wests Tigers, think of all the shit footballers that will be abandoned without support or hope
