Is that the same female chair that people wanted to crucify over the JT appointment and subsequent fiasco. In all seriousness though there are a lot of people on here jumping to conclusions after a media article. People claiming hidden agendas, back to beer swilling leagues clubs honchos running the show, Wests Ashfield ripping off members of WT. Absolute nonsense.
Yes but the board had other ideas !not to upset there mates in the NRL do not be fooled the whole administration is a boys club.
It took a female to draw the line in the sand how quickly they were to blind side her well done ! but at least it is out there now and us supporters and members know what type of characters are running our club !

If even half of what has purportedly occurred per the Read article, which little doubt all did, then I am really disappointed. The last known time director/s interfered with normal process, the club ended up with the gift that continues to give and remains at the core of our latest drama.
Very poor form from Greenburg, having dismissed his contempory in the normal go to person at the club, he then goes behind the back of the chair to make deals. Disgusting actions all round.

Boys club has been prevalent in both the Wests and Balmain clubs since at least 1959 that I know of…....
It obviously has hatched itself again now in the Wests Tigers. This needs to be stamped out very quickly - these two board members need to be sacked or resign as soon as possible. There is NO place for people not willing to put the club first.
Marina Go was a breath of fresh air - sure she may have made a few mistakes (you who are critical of her, you haven't of course) but overall she did a brilliant job for WT. The only one as well who did not want to lay down to Greenburg and his NRL cronies.
Back to the old style regime and being under the NRL heel as usual - we will do well to still be a club here in ten years. Next thing they will do is lay down again under threat of disbandment and accept a move to Perth.

From the announcement re Simon Cook stepping off the Board the other day it stated that "the WT Board will now begin the search for a replacement independent director from Monday"
With the top 3 gone, my question is, Wiki states that all directors have a single vote each, are we sure of that? I seem to recall that the Balmain directors may not actually have voting rights, but maybe that was at a point in time?
If they don't we are then relying on Burgess, Andreacchio, Liubinskas and Wayde to decide who joins. Not sure that fills me with confidence as potentially one of those was undermining our former Chair
Additionally, it shouldn't be one director we are looking for, it should be a couple of independents and I'd think they need to be from the business world. As I've stated before, we have enough football knowledge to draw from in the organisation and directors that have come from the Licensed Club sector, which has a questionable poker machine driven business model, aren't the team to take us forward. I get they pay the bills but if we don't change the composition that won't change, we need to change to have the appropriate commercial business model to take our organisation forward on a sound foundation

Rosemary Sinclair was the independent who left Darren Perry is still there I believe as is Ms Go until a replacement is found,,,as for Cooks position not sure ..vacant to be filled by another from Wests Group I would imagine
Two WT board members and the NRL CEO undermined the chair of WT and the rest of the board remained silent? I'm no conspiracy theorist but I can't find anything positive about this. Time will tell I suppose but I'm not filled with confidence about the future of this club.

Perry seems to have resigned back on December 24 Geo. The article from Chammas on Monday says as much. Plus I can't see Go having a voice in any search

Good to see you feel the same way i do and i am sure there are many others who feel this way also.As a club we need directors that will fight for WT not the leagues club wests magpies or balmain tigers that sort of dung should have finished when we merged.Its about time we had directors that do their job and supported our ceo instead of backstabbing her.Undoubtedly Greenberg would be delighted he has a few lap dogs at our club who will roll over and play dead whenever he wants.
