We have also lost a hooker in Joel Luani, the signing of Ballin may not mean anything to Farahs career - if he pulls his head in and the best hooker at the club, he may get the gig. If not, he won't… And if he didn't know that yesterday, he certainly does today...
Ballin is signed at manly for the next 2 years, would be very surprised if he is costing us much at all to be honest... I think it's a great play by the club. Get a classy player for next to nothing...

We have depth in the hooking role because besides Cherrington and Farah, there is the Aust Schools hooker in Liddle who will play NSW Cup next year and behind him the NSW U18 hooker in Peak.

Talk of Ballin being anywhere near this club is illogical as he will do nothing more than block the career paths of a couple of our brightest prospects.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong.
Liddle is at least a year off playing against men,
As was the hooker they were bigging up 12-18 months ago (before Liddell) James Luff. Manaia will be bought on slowly… And we are in the exact same place with hookers as we were this year!!

Things are getting warm now. ….
He's a quality player from a winning culture. I think it's s pretty smart signing.

if true, other teams must be shaking in their boots at the prospect of playing the tigers.not.

It's making it very hard to renew my gold membership.

The question should be will you get VALUE for money ? No Brainer Knuckles.

If only I could my head around the clubs strategy FT …. I just have to decide whether I want to give my money and spend my time watching something I won't be happy to see .... That is my club losing every week .... Prior to 2005 that was the norm .... I just don't know I want to suffer through another long, lean period.

Farah knows he will get his money and stubborn as a mule. Wants to save face and appear as though he has won the battle.

The reality is he is not bigger than the team and is left with two choices

(1) Play third string hooker in NSW Cup, most likely miss Origin and be no chance of playing first grade again beyond 2016

(2) Get the same money at a new club, play Origin for the next two years and potentially extend beyond 2017 if he can/wants to

It's a no brainer. Farah will go in a "shock" last minute decision. Probably to the Dragons and play a shared role with Rein.

The sky is not falling. With reduced interchange I see the need for the two hooker role to take advantage of fatiguing forwards. Similar to the Cowboys Granville and Kostjasyn

Maybe not

Farah knows exactly where he stands and guaranteed he won't be here in 2017

Can't wait until 2017 I'm so excited , maybe we could sign more hacks like Tim Mannah …I'm so over this club .
Thank Christ for the EPL !

No matter which side of the argument you fall on, this is just a further disgraceful way to treat Farah. A month ago, we were told that he would have to report day 1 of pre-season and prove himself prior to Christmas. If his attitude and performance was up to it, then he'd get his 1st grade start. This signing proves that all of that was just BS from the new CEO & Taylor. I can't believe some people are willing to sit here and just accept the club treating a LIFE MEMBER no less like this. Stubborn or not, this is not an acceptable way to treat people.

Let's hope this supposed signing is just a false rumour.

31 years old, recovering from a knee reco and the Tigers sign him for 2 years…That'll do me.
