Merge with Parra?

 you got to be kidding back in 2000 when the two clubs went into discussions then, it turned out that thoes slime were only interested in a complete takeover all they wanted was the Tiger Badge. Hate em! Go to Liverpool!

Mergers are too painful and too divisive …. And take way too long to bed down.

Would rather perish than merge again.

I wonder if these types of threads/ideas are going to become more common as we approach 31 March 2016.

One a week for sure!

I'm very interested in finding out what the NRL do and who will put in a bid.

Is anyone really interested in buying 50% of a dysfunctional Football Club? Its all or nothing personally.

It's scary and very, very frustrating to see how this club has fallen to its present situation not necessarily on the ladder but financially. I have been through all of this when I followed Newtown and believe me it is not a good feeling.

I love how everyone on this forum comes up with great ideas to merge with parra or cronulla or penrith and play out of parramatta, pert, rockhampton all to get some stability, one ground and long term viability. Yet not one person has put forward the obvious one being the south west of sydney. The hatred of all things Wests amazes me.

I dont think it is a hatred of all things wests.

The move to South west is often mooted on the forum.

This thread was discussing some more out of the box ideas (many of which I think were tongue in cheek)

My view against the move to South west sydney is that currently there is not the level of mid level business to have sufficient corporate support and the large organisations like to offer their corporate support to the large stadiums. This may change in the future.

I guess if Balmain fail to meet their deadline with the NRL anything is possible, but really the NRL need a strong and healthy team in the South West of Sydney and they should be doing everything in their power to help this happen. Look at the AFL they put squillions into developing markets for their new franchises and give these franchises a leg up to help them compete with the better teams.

You never know what the NRL are planning they are more secretive the Masonic Masons, but I keep getting the feeling we are not on their Christmas card list

It looks as though there are a lot of posts on here from the Balmain side, with rather slanderous remarks directed toward the Wests side. I am on the Wests side of the joint venture and those remarks will tend to influence me should the opportunity to vote on either continuing of the joint venture or taking over and renaming the joint venture

I'm not fussed whatever name people might suggest or come up with all i know is i will be done with the game and will be off in the Sunset for good .

Even this Merger has never worked from the start as the continuation of this Balmain vs Wests mentality still continuing as proof on this Thread .

Good work guys continue the animosity going .

If we merged again, we would perish, as far as I'm concerned.

No substance or point to this thread at all, other than to stir up paranoia, and make us look vulnerable. Just sayin.
