Milone is back again for another week

Jesus, give the kid a break. The club has bigger problems including several of his overpaid teammates failing to live up to their hype.

If you are talking about our halves, Taylor won't drop them either. Every week it's business as usual on the same team selection. Unfair to the real triers.

I feel for this kid… He doesnt deserve the bashing he cops.

My heart sank when he dropped that ball with a minute to go knowing what was to come via social media for him and his family.

He doesnt pick the team!

I felt the same mate

I threw my odd bad remark in about this kid, but you know what, if he's happy to put on the Wests Tigers colours and play first grade I'll support him just like every other player that's done the same.
Good Luck this weekend Nathan.

x 2\. Milone wasn't the reason we lost last week - poor discipline did the trick

I reckon he is due for a massive game. He'll be first try scorer this week.

Followed by a couple more to wrap the game up ??
Or equal Keith Lulia's 4 try effort

That will be next week against the Raiders. Start small then work to bigger things.

Agreed, as I said in the other thread he seems to have become the scapegoat for all of our problems.

On Milone look at it this way he is overdue to put in a good one… Hopefully it's this weekend

Has he put in a good performance in nsw cup yet this year?

For one minute I do not doubt he has enormous ticker and work ethic, and he doesn't pick the side and has a big dig when selected, but the bottom line at this stage of his football career he doesn't cut it at NRL level, so why not try another option.

He should not be the forum whipping boy,but it is also painfully obvious to blind freddy the kid is way off the pace at present

The thing that frustrates me is not so much Milone, but more the fact he is chosen of other players like MCK.

Also, he's not as bad as Rowe was…

That's nice and all Watto, I'm sure all of us feel for the kid. But seriously, this is first grade. If fans/coaches/whoever keep accepting mediocrity, that's what we'll get. We've watched these kids develop over the years and it's time they deliver or ship out. It's been 11 years since our only premiership, we contended well in '10,'11 but that's about it. We're again looking at a bottom 8 finish if not bottom 4\. WT have sucked for years on and off the field, it's about time fans say it how it is. Hopefully that will get some pressure on the club to perform or at least pick players who will have a dig.

Milone is not a first grader. Sorry, he's probably a great bloke, but he is so far off the level we need it's not funny.

I guess you could say I'm just tired of hoping we'll get it together and compete week in week out. It's not about winning or losing, it's about knowing our boys left the field with nothing in the tank and I haven't seen that in years. Props beat Milone back to the line when he left Rankin on his own, that's saying something. He's had a few games now and has shown me absolutely nothing that warrants his selection, I'm just calling it for what it is. It would be nice if the coach showed some balls and dropped the guys regardless of 1 or 300 games until they want to prove their worth, step up and play hardball. There's always another kid waiting in the wings who's hungry and determined.

and here it is folks for us all to see, Wests Tigers fans accepting mediocrity again and again and again. YOU SHOULD BE BLOODY OUTRAGED that this kid is picked, I couldnt care less if he teaches deaf people brail and blind people sign language on his day off, this isnt the Nathon Milone facebook fan page. The kid should not be anywhere near a first grade pitch, we should be demanding blood over these poor selections, not "gee, I hope his feeling arent hurt", stuff his feelings, He might be the nicest bloke in the world, does that make the Tigers get a win? He is a professional athlete wearing a football jersey. Hey Milone, try catching a ball, making some tackles and making a brake for once in your life. The kid should be busting his butt every chance he gets to prove his worth, you seen anything other then a training day trot from this kid? When he starts to put in at least 100% effort on game day ill back off my opinion but how anyone can say, "its not his fault, he doesnt pick the team" I have no idea, they need a reality check. He should be giving 110% and spewing at full time from exhaustion not laughing and smiling with his brahs comparing glory tattoos.

"the scapegoat for all of our problems" overstating that much? He is merely the tip of the garbage pile that is the WestsTigers rugby league club. Taylor as coach is the worst thing that has happend to the Tigers since the hoppa finger incident. The scarecrow IS the problem.

I felt for him as well - he looked absolutely shattered after dropping that last ball

But that's no reason to question why he is in the team again this week - we have other options - he had a shocker - why are others not getting their chance?

"Players don't pick the team, the coach does."

By that logic all players are beyond criticism, because it's not their fault they are playing first grade, the coach made them do it. It's not as if they are professional footballers trying to earn a potentially very lucrative living by catching synthetic spheroids and wrestling with large men.

If you go soft on bad performances and bad team selections, you let the players and club think the fans are ok with mediocrity.

Nobody thinks Milone is a good footballer and nobody dislikes him or even knows him personally. But if we don't complain strongly when dissatisfied with a selection, what is the point of being a fan.

Actually don't criticise the coach either, he was selected by the board, not his fault and he's doing the best he can.

haha brilliant, I just laugh at it now. A guy that would fail to make other teams reggies and without even trying another kid this fella gets another roll up after 3 or 4 failures, every game he has played he has been abysmal.

As a 40+ year Tigers fan, at this point in time I just couldn't care less if we lose, Im not sick of the team losing, as a Tigers fan, since the 90's thats just how it is and im used to it, but i should be entitled to think that my team at least has a chance every week, its a 2 horse race!! im sick and tired of the amateur hour we produce in an era of professional sports. The players we have, the player selections made, the beyond ridiculous coaches we have that continuously aspire to failure I just want it all to spiral into a heap and we get the spoon for 5 years in row, can we finally hit rock bottom?? we cant even do that right, we fail at that!! We are just aimlessly wallowing around near the bottom of the table in this ridiculous quagmire with no direction at all, its so bloody pathetic.

IMO they should employ you to deliver a motivational style speech pre-game. The last sentence will have the hair on the back of their necks standing up.

Chee Kam has been made either 18th. 19th or 20th man for three of the 7 rounds so far yet Taylor selects Milone for round 6 on universally acclaimed bad form and after a shocking game selects him again for round7\. Due to Taylor's crazy selections Chee Kam is unfortunately missing out on match fitness. Something is so desperately wrong with Taylor's thinking.
