Mitch Moses Denied Release - Confirmed

If Moses transfers to Parra next week there is still 17 rounds on his contract remaining. Are Wests Tigers so stupid to allow the transfer to go ahead without receiving the 17 rounds financial payout remaining on Moses' contract? Alternatively, but not preferably, will they receive an exchange Parra player next week?

i wonder how Mitch is going to go at Parra playing second fiddle to Norman?

i have a sneaking suspicion he is going to stifle their attack or confuse the style of play. I believe he is a key reason why brooks has fallen back.

I hope he goes well but something tells me he may not work out for him at Parra.

Nothing to do with rounds. Players are contracted 12 months a year and the year starts in October. So Moses has been employed for approx 6 months of this years contract. If he is released he would get paid up to date by Tigers ($300K ish) and Parra take over from there.

There was talk last night that his money for this year could go to frontloading Woods and Tedesco.

I posted that idea on here last week and got shot down for it. I think it would be the best thing to do.

I'm over the moon this muppet has left or is about to . I can see widdop wearing our colours next year .

I'm hoping Brooks can step it up once Moses leaves and Brooks can find form that will make him a Premier halfback ( one can only hope ) Moses has that dominant demeanour that took a bit to much control over Brooks game and this might be the best thing for Brooks .
Brooks is a good kid and comes from a good Family so hope he can turn it around . I'm far from his biggest supporter but i need to be now that his with us for another 2 years , i'm craving success like everyone else on here are.

Parramatta Leagues Club and four former directors get show-cause notice relating to NRL salary cap breaches

Parramatta Leagues Club and four of its former directors have been issued with show-cause notices by the NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority Board relating the club's NRL salary cap breaches.

It follows the authority's consideration of a complaint by Liquor and Gaming NSW, which conducted an investigation last year.

Under the NSW Registered Clubs Act, the club could face fines up to $250,000.

The notices invite the four ex-directors to respond to the authority's finding that they are not "fit and proper" persons to hold key positions of a registered club.

Under the NSW Registered Clubs Act, the club could face fines up to $250,000 and the former directors could be banned from being on the governing body of any registered club in NSW for up to three years.

The next step involves the parties providing written submissions and evidence.

In July last year, the authority found the Parramatta Leagues Club board had ceased to be effective and resolved to replace it with temporary administrator, Max Donnelly.

In February, a new board was appointed with Donnelly remaining as chairman.

so much for a stable club with no back office issues.

Brett Kenny is Parra's equivalent of Benny or Blocker - a go-to quote for times like these, usually having a dig at his own club. Surprised Ray Price hasn't been wheeled out as of yet.

Yeah this is what I thought too.
Thought he was pushing teddy wider as I said before.

Imagine him in 5 years.

He will think the club belongs to him.

What do managers make on players contracts is it 10% ?

More like 5-7% but I'm sure some take less (although Moses and Ayoub would certainly not be among those that take less)

5% to 7% is what they tell the taxman!! I am sure if agent X can convince a marque no1 to sign with a particular club that club might reward him in something like a little holiday to Vegas or maybe a sponsors new car etc. Call me cynical but they are leaches

I actually knew a prominent agent who has now moved out of the game, but he made a lot of money by investing the footballers money and taking 10% of the profits on top of his percentage
