BREAKING: @mitchmoses6 DEFINITELY sticking to @TheParraEels contract - will be released early by @WestsTigers - next week

If true, maybe we can throw the remaining portion of Mitch's 2016 Contract at Teddy and Woodsy. A few extra $$$ to get us over the line, which wont impact on next year's cap.

I firmly believe this player exodus is absolutely fantastic for the club. THe club is not going anywhere with Brooks; Moses; Woods et al

These kids are asking for too much money and what results have we had in the past 18 months?

Time for a new change and fresh air. It will inevitably sting to begin with but it will be sweet long term.

Why should we have to throw extra at these guys, particularly Woods. From all reports we have offered very competitive terms if not the best terms pandering to these guys. If Mitch goes id be trying to get some extra grunt in the forward pack for this season not giving more to the guys who are already getting good money.

Value for money must rule of course but I truly regret losing Moses, he provided flair, barked out across the paddock, goal kicking at least bearable. He should have been made captain and the whatever $60K extra for that plus C title hopefully would have made him satisfied. We could have at least trialled it when Woods was on smoko during games.

You can build a forward pack around Woods, and you can build a backline around Tedesco.

They are not irreplaceable, but unless your buying players that are BETTER than them, your behind the 8 ball.

I'm not too fussed that Moses may leave. He has enormous talent, but we aren't going to get anywhere persisting with two inexperienced halves who don't seem to gel together. Get Brooks an experienced halves partner and a decent forward pack, and we will see him improve dramatically.

But i think we need to move mountains to make sure Teddy and to a similar extent Woods commit here for the long term.

With Moses and Brooks we are still talking potential , they sure as hell aren't superstars

If you were to ask non Wests Tigers fans where they ranked Moses and Brooks individually or as a combination neither would be in the top half of the voting either as a individual or combination

Consistant week in week out superstars need to earn superstar dollars with week in week out performances

Brooks and Moses are miles from this and I don't even think they compliment each other as a combination

The difference for our halves and quality halves was never more apparent than against the storm last year. Cronk hit his field goal, Moses didn't from an easier position on the field. That point could've sent us to the finals last year and things may be a lot different…...
There's only so long that they can be carried on potential. It's time to start talking about results they've gotten for the club.

Incidentally, Buzz's second to back page spread is an absolute work of art in terms of News Ltd nonsense. Truly beyond satire.

You know you havent lost anything special when Parra supporters are up in arms over the supposed money he is getting paid. Whether we lose all 3 or keep them its not the end of the world.the big 4 have achived nothing for us. If we were a top 4 team and they were leaving it would be devastating. We dont need to replace them with better players in their positions, what we need is better players all over the park who dont have the tigers mentality. Cleary is a breath of fresh air and we need a new player culture at our club so out with the old and in in with the new.

Hmmm so over members discussing paying tedesco and woods more.. This is why tge tigers have been in this position for a few years now. Were paying overs and doing back ended deals to players that are local but are undeserving of it. Woods and Tedesco have great offers.. Woods will get too much if you ask me, but there is no excuse for the two to winge about the contract… A new dawn has began. Time for tough love.Get these boys to start acting like men....

After trying to distill all of the rumour, innuendo and down right crap floating around, i think for both AW and JT the following is about right:

1\. We have had offers on the table for some time.
2\. I believe, reading between the lines, we are the best offer(s) monetarily they have.
3\. They both weren't happy to commit until the coaching situation was sorted - if you remember even before JT was sacked, he wasn't contracted beyond this year and we wanted both these boys to sign 4 ish year contracts
4\. We all know who the coach is and will be for 3.5 years ( 😛ray: )
5\. If they don't sign with us this week then it isn't money and they want to get off the bus for whatever reason. Their prerogative.
6\. Good luck to them- plan B and we can sign a plethora of players at better $ that will create a TEAM not a bunch of individuals - parra survived without hayne for example.
7\. I really really want Teddy to stay.

Mic drop

The thing I find interesting is that the Tigers are going to play him on Monday against the Eels, with everyone apparently aware he is then going to go join the Eels. Surely everyone can see the conflict here, especially as he has stated his desire to play semi finals football.

He better not miss too many crucial tackles

Yeah, I can really see him busting a gut against the team he'll most likely be running out for the next week. It's almost like having one of your opponents players playing for you. What's to stop him having a "shocker". There's serious conflict of interest there. Madness. But then it's just another chapter in this circus. Go out and give it your all Mitch. Go out and try and deprive the the team you'll be joining the next day of 2 valuable competition points.

There may be a conflict but it would be a bigger discredit to the team to not have him there, then not only do Parra get their player, but we hamstring ourselves by not playing him against them…..
On the other hand Parra might go easy on him in an effort not to hurt him. I'd have him run the ball all night long.
