PARRAMATTA legend Brett Kenny believes Mitchell Moses isn’t worth the reported $850,000 a-year he’s getting to join the Eels.

Four-time premiership winner and champion five-eighth Kenny is also against Wests Tigers No.6 Moses making an early-season switch to Parramatta.

If Moses does indeed move on to Parra after Monday (which I think is ridiculous) does that mean Rankin will be playing 5/8 for the rest of the season?

Parramatta Leagues Club and four former directors get show-cause notice relating to NRL salary cap breaches

Parramatta Leagues Club and four of its former directors have been issued with show-cause notices by the NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority Board relating the club's NRL salary cap breaches.

It follows the authority's consideration of a complaint by Liquor and Gaming NSW, which conducted an investigation last year.

Under the NSW Registered Clubs Act, the club could face fines up to $250,000.

The notices invite the four ex-directors to respond to the authority's finding that they are not "fit and proper" persons to hold key positions of a registered club.

Under the NSW Registered Clubs Act, the club could face fines up to $250,000 and the former directors could be banned from being on the governing body of any registered club in NSW for up to three years.

The next step involves the parties providing written submissions and evidence.

In July last year, the authority found the Parramatta Leagues Club board had ceased to be effective and resolved to replace it with temporary administrator, Max Donnelly.

In February, a new board was appointed with Donnelly remaining as chairman.

so much for a stable club with no back office issues.

Thats the Leagues Club (Licensed Club) not the Football Club.

At the time the salary cap breaches occurred there was no separation of the board between the Leagues club and the football club, the same board ran both. This had changed since then, but was the case at the time.

According to Eels' supporters, that small tidbit about a veteran player being pushed from the Club but resisting is Beau Scott.

We will take him for Moses then, he could be handy this test

If Parramatta are really trying to push Beau Scott out (crazy) as someone has said we should at least consider asking him to join us-maybe as part of granting Moses an early release. Still a hard uncompromising forward despite his veteran status. Could be great for us for a season or two.

I'd hope our club would be in contact with all player managers ready for the squeeze which will come when the salary cap is finalised. Bevan French is the player I'd be making a play for from the Eels.

Just a slightly different angle on things about Moses,if I was playing in the team with him and he was getting say 800k a year and I was on say 150k a year,I would be inclined to throw him the ball and say to myself..your on the big money..prove it with a big play and performance, why should I bust a gut and get little reward when you miss tackles, throw Hail Mary passes and kick poorly when we need pressure applied..
Just saying, this could be what some at Parra could be thinking if he doesn't perform to his pay packet…

Beau Scott was going to be one of Mitch's body guards?

Is Scotts performances holding up? I see he's on the bench this week, we don't want a guy that's gone one season to long like Parra did with Watmough.

I have to say, viewing this all unfold, and now seeing it's extremely likely Moses will be released in the following weeks, i'm actually a bit angry as a supporter, i laid out nearly 2k worth of membership tickets up front assuming a certain team would be on the park (understand there are no certainties in life, especially with injuries in RL) but you do expect outside "bad luck" to get that team, especially one of your play makers and better players. Now, if the tigers release him, we'll play with a substandard half combo for the rest of year, nearly assuring us of not making the 8, while Parra will now be in a much better position to make the 8.

So tigers admin, if you're willing to let him walk out and play for the opposition, i want some of my money back, you as the tigers admin will get something back for this, unless it's shown that it's somehow passed through to the team this year, i'm going to think long and hard about buying memberships up front again.

In my view, we are in competition with these other clubs, why are we making it easier for the them to make the 8, and harder for us, it's a possibility that Parra comes 8th and us 9th, and the difference being Moses….

anyway, end of rant...back to work.

I agree 100% with everything you've written. We are making another team stronger whilst making us massively weaker. I know he won't be here next year but can't we still put in our best effort this year to make an improbable (but not impossible) run for the 8? Without Moses we have absolutely no chance.

Would love for Beau Scott to join us. Group 6 player representing the Tigers always a positive. He is a consistent solid forward. Would be a great influence on younger players. Would need a thorough medical assessment prior to ensure his body is still up to it, but if parra were footing part of the bill id be happy to take him.

Agree 100%. Tigers owe Eels nothing and to make them better at our own detriment is bad business, plus a lot of people shell out a lot of money to see these guys play, so some sort of goodwill from the club would be fair

He should play out the season with us. I don't like him but he is a very good player. We pay his salary this year so he should be staying with us.
