Moltzen Staying Or Going

Look at the level of improvement moltz had from win 1-9 at the end, imagine his future settled and sheens tells him the full back position is his and he can work on that, he will be phenomenal, he wa fantastic and mostly reliable once he cemented full back (even slater makes mistakes and drops bombs every so often)..
He is a naturally gifted footballer

This might be why Humpreys did an about face in recent days if the rumors were true about Prince.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-exile-todd-carney-spurns-titans-talks-despite-holidaying-on-gold-coast/story-e6frexnr-1226166610938

THE Titans' hopes of signing Todd Carney appear to be fading, with the star playmaker not meeting the club despite being on the Gold Coast.

Carney has been on the Coast with friends since he returned from a holiday in Thailand on Wednesday, yet club officials last night confirmed there had been no dialogue with the troubled star.

Carney was spotted at Surfers Paradise nightclub Shooters on Wednesday night, but appeared well behaved.

He was also spotted around the Coast yesterday.

The Titans offered the uncontracted star a "modest" deal to join the club while he was overseas.

But Titans chief executive Michael Searle yesterday said he still hadn't had any correspondence with Carney or his manager, David Riolo, since the offer was tabled.

Titans heavyweights privately believe Carney is headed to the Cronulla Sharks or South Sydney Rabbitohs.

"Our deal doesn't match with what is being offered elsewhere, it's really just an option if he wants a change of lifestyle," said the source.

Both the Sharks and the Rabbitohs have more room to move in their salary cap for 2012 than the Titans, who are nearly at capacity due to the signings of Jamal Idris, Nate Myles and Luke Douglas.

The fact Carney hasn't scheduled a meeting with the Titans while he is on the Gold Coast is another driving factor behind the club's lack of confidence that they'll get their man.

Upon returning from Thailand, Carney said he would "make a decision next week" on his plans for 2012.

Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan said he was aware Carney was on the Gold Coast but the Sharks were yet to table him an offer.

Carney was released by the Sydney Roosters this season after a number of indiscretions. He missed a large part of 2011 due to injury and club-imposed suspensions.

His disappointing season came after a stellar 2010, which he capped off by winning the Dally M Medal for the NRL's best and fairest player.

Gold Coast begin pre-season training on November 7, meaning a deal would have to be reached soon if Carney is going to figure at the club throughout its entire campaign.

Ray Warren wouldn't know his backside from his elbow… The only time he gets a strong opinion is when someone writes it for him, the rest is dribble.

I meant Prince mate, off the back of the Titans signing Carney. Since that has fallen through, Prince would have fallen through (if that was ever on the table).

Didn't Humphreys come out and say that he expected Moltz to be going to the dragons just a week ago? It was a direct quote. The Dragons quoted it in their article on their website.

I've not seen anything from Humphreys to that effect. The Dragons have been trying to imply and misconstrue what Humphreys has said to try and help their cause. If he really said that I don't think this thread would be powering on like it is!

Last week Humphreys said this: "

"The way that it is likely to play out is that he will be going to the Dragons," Humphreys told The Daily Telegraph last night.
>
"We will have a conversation with them in the next few days about it, but we have been working on the assumption that he won't be here next season.
>
"His move depended on us granting him a release, and that is the process we are going through now.

That was Oct 9th, apparently a few days later our board overruled him meaning we never gave a release.

Yep. That's the one I was referring to.

Okay I confess I hadn't seen that article so I stand corrected on that front.
The whole thing is starting to do my head in. I think I'll just wait until WT put out an official release finally confirming where Moltzen will be playing next year. Hopefully this happens sometime before Round 1 next year…

I think schubert is ultimately going to make the decision now. But I can't see how the Saint's will get Moltzen if the Tigers haven't signed a release. It should render their contract null and void.

They must think that they really need him next year if they are fighting tooth and nail for someone who doesn't want to be there.

There is some very good judges that are pro moltzen, Sheens Gould, and Bennett to name a few.

He is a junior kangaroo, was selected play nrl at 19, there is plenty of evidence that people who matter rate him.

Im comfortable with my judgement that Moltzen is quality.

I can't see Moltzen going to Saints…unless there is a signed release from his WT 2012 contract, he will be with the WT in 2012....His 2012-2014 "contract" with the Dragons is contingent on him getting a signed release...which they don't have....so I think the Dragons are seeking $$$$ from the Tigers...or another player...I say give them Zilch, nada, nothing!!...oh and I'd remind them not to choke over it! :sign:

Saints should have never jumped the gun. Simple. They should have taken a leaf out of the Tigers book when we signed Blair. We knew it was a done deal for ages, but the Tigers held back and held back on the announcment, in hindsight, probably because they were going over everything with a fine tooth comb to make sure the contract was 100% legit. Saints should have done the same thing, instead of jumping the gun and making themselves look stupid

I'm more hopeful now

But
That quote from humphries was from telegraph and then the letter from doust contradicts it totally.

I don't think humphries ever said it.
