Off-field issues aside, Lui is a class above Graham as a player
 
Even if Moltzen does stay….what does this do for our reputation? Surely the Tigers are one of the more liked teams in the competition, but would these whole series of events change that? I should dearly hope not, and I should also hope that Moltzen takes that into consideration. I for one think it would be a privilege to play in the NRL, but Tim is only wanting to stay at the one club....I, and I would presume the rest of the forum and Tigers fan base, am quite agitated by these series of events, and would like to know an answer very soon!

Once the season has started this will be a distant memory. If we can remain 1 of the most liked clubs after incidents such as Hoppa and Field and McGuiness, then we'll have no trouble maintaing our image with this I don't think
 
Tell me Moltzen signed for 3 years for Dragons and he wants to sit out a year. If his told to play for Dragons IMO he would have to sit out 3 years if he doesn't want to play for them

Yeah that seems to make more sense I dont see how a one year protest would effect years 2013 and 14 when he is for all intents and purposes contracted to the Dragons.

The media will bring it up when the clubs meet, the fans will soon forget, but other clubs CEO's, recruitment officers and player agents wont forget in a hurry…and theyre the ones that matter

Oct 31 - I think - is usually the date players officially complete commitments when moving on to other clubs, maybe we hear something soon.

he didn't threaten anything, he told someone it might be an option who told a journo who turned it into a 'threat'.

Plus bureacracy takes a long time, that's the whole point of it. If we had an answer by the end of this week that would be a miracle, considering things were only made official about 2 weeks ago. People are just bored at the end of the season and are looking for something footy-related to cling to

One thing I can believe is that Moltzen has made it clear in no uncertain terms that he does not want to go to the Dragons.

Even if it was just something he suggested might be an option in passing to a mate, it still makes him look like a brat for even entertaining the thought of it. If he is forced to leave, be a man and be a professional about it. As has already been said alot throuhout this thread, his image is being put through the ringer over this
 
It's a lot of pressure being a footballer. You can make the slightest indescretion and be hung up by the testicles. The kid''s only 21, he's just had his first big break and he doesn't know exactly what do with it. He's hung up on emotion and through the media that plays out like he's two-faced or something. Maybe he was stupid to sign the contract in the first place but who really blames him? At least he didn't headbutt the mother of his child.
