Moltzen Staying Or Going

ok…..so this is one of those "i know someone who knows someone who heard blah blah blah thing......BUT.....my borther in law works with someone who knows Moltz, he told me he's going to Saints well before it was announced months ago, and he's now telling me Moltz wants to stay.......no word on if he's actually made a move for it to happen, just that he wants out of his saints deal.

With you KS.

Has anyone actually heard from a reputable source that he wants out?

People are talking like it was all Moltzens decision in the first place.

Didnt the club get rid of him?

That may be true, but in all fairness Ink, he walked from the last year of his contract… But I understand why he went, uncertainty of future you have to lock up the best deal you can get.

And to those talking about defaulting on contracts, four words: Steve Turner, Gold Coast.

Just remember people, if the unthinkable happened and Tim stayed, it doesn't mean that a contract has to be broken. As someone has already said, by mutual agreement any contract can be terminated.

Pretty simple really. And this is business. If any of you think ethics plays a part in any of it, you're kidding yourselves.

You only hear of the top 15 or 20 signings each year. Outside of that, there are hundreds and quite possibly thousands each year in rugby league that are swapped, changed, negotiated, manipulated, organised, traded, enticed, and so on and so on.

In my view, managing a contract to a mutual agreement that releases a player shows far better spirit and honour than some gimp 'sitting out a season on principal' or running off to the UK overnight!!!

Still happy to see him go, but would be happy for gibbs to stay, iam sure the tread has been started by a moltzen fan?

I started the thread. I am a Moltzen fan. I am resigned to the fact that he is going and that's that.

Just reporting what I heard, nothing more.

If I hear something about Gibbs staying that is worthy of the forum, I will post that also.

Its funny what you blokes are saying, Ihave a business @ Hammondville & Saints supporters who come in have heard the same thing as well about Moltzen wanting to come back. By the way Sameulcon i live @ Bradbury.

on this one page alone there are three different spellings of the name "Humphreys". Can we reach a consensus and stick to it?

Why do people want to turn the Forum into a spelling bee ?? :unamused:

Because if you are trying to communicate with someone it is only good manners to do so correctly. If you cannot spell, and there are quite a few on this forum who cannot, there is such a thing as a "spell check".

Col I wouldn't even know where to find the spellcheck let alone know how to use it :roll
I personally think it is rude and cruel to pick on people because of their spelling issues

Sorry to get off point MODs

On the Google page it is on the top of the page under Atick Check. Click on the arrow after highlighting the word that you are unsure of and click on Autofix. Simple.

Happy is right.

Just remember that there may be some people here who have issues on here with literacy, it may come down to more than just "laziness."

Ok. Literate or not, spell check can give you the correct spelling. It is not rocket science. Even I can use it.

Just spoke to Tim at the luncheon on the possibility of him staying (all tongue in cheek mind you) and he laughed and said you have to put in a good word with Sheensy (who was at the next table to me) and the other powers that be.

He looked like a kid in a lolly shop being round his mates today. I am sure he doesn't want to go but the fact is there is a contract and unless a deal can be done to get him out of it, he will have to honour it and go to the STI.

there is no answer he can really give tho is there.

If he says at a tigers function he is looking forward to going to the dragons, people than start sating he wasn't happy at the tigers, he doesn't get on with such and such.
If he says he loved to stay, than the saints fans etc will be saying why are we signing a bloke that doesnt want to be here and so on…

making a joke is the best he can do, which perpetuates the rumour. I d love him to come back, Id also love to sign slater and cronk, it is all very unlikely

For gods sake the guys gone and good luck to him can we please move on get ourselves a new half back and look foward to next season.
