MOLTZEN? Thread

Go Moltz. I think he will find a consistent winning formula. He basically put his career on the line to stay with our club I think that was gutsey and I respect him for it .Again GO MOLTZ

Im sure Sheens has something to do with him not running it back on kick returns.

Rocket science…..NOT!!

Ohh Yeah of course. Tedesco and Humble were told to bring it back asap but Timmy was told to run sideways.

Fair comments, and let's not forget it was Tim's error that put an end to our last season, BUT we need to have confidence in Sheens' judgement. Last year I was all for kicking out Beau Ryan, and now he is one of our best, so hang in there!

I like using this thread because it sums him up perfectly. **Pathetic.**

Just when you think this guy can't get any worse he has now started abusing his own team mates if they make a mistake.
The biggest mistake is taking you back Moltzen. You shouldn't be in the team no matter who's friend you are.

His season so far:

7 games of absolute rubbish
1 half decent game against a Penrith side missing about 1000 players

Plus his attitude stinks.

Opposition teams target him every week with their bombs.

it is so blatant targetting our achilles heel.

The better sides will murder us.

I would have signed in the knowledge no matter what I did I would be selected in the team each week …do you think that would of happened at the Dragqueens he would of had to perform ..for mine he took the easier option of the two and is laughing.

Give him a break, he is a great player. Who remembers when he found his form about round 16 last year? he will most likely do that again this year to prove he is worthy for a Tigers jumper in fg next year.

Lets not get carried away, theres nothing 'great' about him. Are you suggesting we'll have to wait another 2 months for him to hit his straps? for the good of the club he needs to be moved on. That attempted tackle on Blair at the end was totally pathetic. All he offers is decent support play, and if Tedesco turns into a decent support player we won't be missing a thing with Moltzen gone

lol also funny all the people praising him and saying that he was back after the Panthers game

Give him a break huh…It's obvious you're not watching the Tigers games this year, otherwise you would not make these sorts of comments.

Just to be clear, I'm NOT a Moltzen 'hater'… BUT...

I genuinely think that our best option at fullback with the way he's going is Beau. He's easily our safest under a high ball ATM, it seems like it's something he's worked really hard on. He's becoming almost like a Nightingale... very safe, solid and consistent. Knows how to finish a try too.

Another good reason for this to happen is the couple of young wingers we have who deserve to be in first grade. Koriobete (spelling?) for example.

I think moltzen would be a stand out in my son's under 8 team! As for fg he needs to grow a pair.

The rest of the team needs to sit moltzen down, tell him to man up, that nrl does involve " getting tackled "
He is not the jarryd mr egotistical hayne and to come back down to earth.
Worry about his own game before he attacks other players on the team for making errors

Its been going on for a while

A good hard public humiliation - mid field from Farah, Heighno Ellis or Fulton might teach him a thing or two

Let the players be the judge of that. I'm sure if it is anything like the forum pretenders on here think it is, the players will swiftly and smartly pull his nose in for him.

When he comes to training with a black eye, you know its happened…....that's if the players have an issue with anything, be it this or someone else stepping out of line.

Positive yesterday, actually put himself in front of Fui to stop the try under the post.
Negative, made one of the worst attempts at tackling the parra player flying down the sideline ive ever seen.
Jimmy Jack would have dropped that bloke like a sack of you know what! I know the game is all about wrestling etc these days, but in that instance i'm pretty sure a diving tackle around the legs would have sufficed.

Its pointless commenting on this bloke. We all know Sheen and Benji will not drop him.

In the interim i'm going to get a chicken wire mesh to protect my plasma going forward.

I was very disapointed in his first attempt at catching a bomb and disgusted when he backed off on the Parra knock on…. imagine if the ref's missed it.

I am sick of this constant chatter about moltzen.

Sure, his form has been bad in a couple games, but who would you replace him with? Ryan is playing well on the wing but he isnt fast enough for fullback. That is why humble was moved from back there. Name me a slow fullback who you would want in our side who plays in the nrl today? It doesnt work.

Moltzen had a woeful game after being knocked out the previous week by a sickening elbow to the head; give him a break. Apart from that there have been some errors but he is contributing to the side.

This crap about not charging it up annoys me too. Why do you want your fullback getting bruised up for a few extra metres? When the opportunity is there moltzen runs hard, when it isnt he passes it away. Statements like: "thats not what a fullback should do" is like telling Marshall not to run sideways across the field because thats not what a 5/8 should do.

His defense has also been surprisingly good this year and he has a great combination with benji. Basically, he is an explosive player (which is very hard to find) who hasn't been in great form yet. But, there is no one better available and moltzen has a great deal of upside.

You will probably all be back next week to bash him on here, but none of you offer a better solution.

Sorry for the length of this post, i am just sick of how little people appreciate a player with speed and skill…most of you probably dont remember the balmain/wests days when pace was so hard to come by.
