More spin from Lee?

I was complimentary of Lee yesterday because I was still fired up and what he said spoke to that emotion.

I reckon nothing comes of any of this and the issue is 100% off the radar tomorrow, if it isn't already.

It’s all good. Klein gets a week off (he was probably scheduled for a break anyway) we suck the big one and NRL moves along on it’s merry way. Nothing to see here.

Given the conversations held Sunday night and Monday doubt Lee is hiding behind emails, it would be more a formal documented evidence trail if something was to happen.

Just because we haven't heard anything doesn't mean nothing has happened. Most people didn't know we complained on Sunday formally and Sheens/Annesley had conversations Sunday and Monday. Most also didn't know Lee had conversations also until he said it.

The media focus is all on Manly now & rightfully so, nothing will hit the media hard anymore on it unless legal action (which I doubt will occur) follows.

I would be arguing that the referee was influenced most by the cowboys players remonstrating with him which prevented him calling full-time as per normal. The rules state that the captain is the only player allowed to question the referee and the nuffie with the whistle should have penalised the Cowboys for intimidating him. Not something I’ve heard mentioned much but he totally lost control of the game.

100 percent, Gus got info that the refs are petrified to make a mistake and make calls on the run. How Gus gets this info not sure.

i heard that . Two factions in the referees department with regard to technology. Refs need to just blow a penalty if a player is in their face. Instead we go and look at a ticky tack obstruction call that’s purely objective. Refs need to grow a set.

Lee knows there no case against referee howlers.

The only way we win is to prove the game was over and could not challenge. The analogy of the cart before the horse regarding the challenge.

I don't fully understand but think it's you can't challenge before the event. Something happens then you challenge.

Here the ref made no call to challenge. If it's proven the bunker got involved where they shouldn't have the NRL could be in trouble.

That's why the head of footy has been so staunch saying the challenge process was correct. The NRL are snakes.

I thought the bunker was in the refs ear straight away. Is Klein the only person in the bunker? If so he could have told the ref not to end the game and refer to him, so he could award a penalty. If he is the only person in the bunker, surely that’s open to corruption. The audio would be interesting to hear

Is it against the rules. They are trying to help each other I presume.
I'm not in favour of it because it can open things up for corruption. I'm just saying, is there a law/rule against it?

The ref gets tips from a coach too. But at that moment his job was to rule an escort on the field or call full-time. Blowing a short whistle then having a long chat with the bunker is not normal process. Definitely can’t wait to hear what was said.

Exactly Klien is just a grub probably had $$$$$on the cows. BUT our only chance is to prove the game was officially over and that grey areas that cannot be clarified by any rules of the game justifying a continuation of the game

Hang on ! He’s put in a formal request and not heard back . And your judging him because annelsley said in public “they can come whenever they want “ yet in private doesn’t reply to the formal request ….. and you believe the former politician ? Wests tigers had a media release stating the made a formal request as well .
I think you got it backwards this time dude
