I should have said he contributes negatively by continually undermining the coach and club, no wonder they want to hunt the prick out. Oh and we pay him $950k for the privilege.

Surely Newcastle could see some value or Gold Coast or at George. But wait he doesn't want to move out of Sydney and won't play under potter in Newcastle. Now there is only one option which decreases his market value and they are playing hardball.
Much of the problem Robbie has created himself. 4yrs for a 30yr old hooker at marquee money there is the problem clear as day.
Larry , Potter is gone if Farah signs , it was in a story last week
@ricksen said:If we're trying to offload Rankin, why is he playing first grade ahead of JAC/Justin Hunt etc?
@larrycorowa said:Get him in Monday with the chairman, Ceo and football manager and tell him this is the way it's going to be. Taylor is coach and you are playing reserve grade. No amount of media is going to make us change our minds. We should of backed potter and we can't make the same mistake again.

Good question, especially since he being played totally out of position! :brick:
I can understand them not playing JAC because he has signed elsewhere, but I would put Hunt in for his goal kicking alone. Our abysmal goal kicking has lost us games this year and it will cost a spot in the 8\. Hunt is a decent player and a way better kicker than both Moses and Rankin….and he is actually a real winger! Too simple, no doubt :unamused:

@larrycorowa said:They are trying to force Farah to sign someone else for between $350-450k and money will be used to resign Taylor.
@matchball said:@Love the WestsTigers said:In terms of Farah or JT leaving i rather Jason Taylor as he has delivered less for the club.
Why? Farah is done. His career in the NRL is finished.
He is an aging slow hooker that no club wants to touch.
Taylor is just doing what Sheens and Potter failed to do which is admirable. He is looking out for the young halves that have a decade in the game, not a few games left in them like Robbie.
Leave the emotion out of it and you'll see it's the right move.

Taylor facing the media and directly saying "we stand a better chance of winning against the Dragons without Robbie in the team" is bagging him IMO.
Robbie is a petulant sook but the club has handled this whole thing as poorly as you would expect from WT. It isn't the first time our club has got itself into a huge mess, all played out in the media. WT are amateurs when it comes to resolving internal problems in-house.
The club definitely handles things very poorly at times, the past week being a prime example, but why does every left of field decision always have to be such a huge deal for us? Someone mentioned Nathan Peats in relation to this saga before. The guy gets shifted to another state within a short period of time and essentially cops it on the chin without even 1/10th of the fuss that's been created by Robbie playing one match in reserve grade!
It's best Peats not be used as an example to compare his actions to Farahs. Imagine if Farah had refused to play because he wasn't receiving his cash payment?
