So you'd prefer to keep him with his pathetic attitude, and drag the whole squad down to his level.
I and 99% of the people on this forum agreed with the clubs decision.
It shows strong leadership and a mediocre attitude by any player will not be put up with.

It looks like it was a very borderline call and one not made in haste. It appears that the club approached everyone in his private circle to try to motivate him without a positive result. It also appears that his performance was impacting the rest of the team. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses.

Yep a difficult decision no doubt. But clearly the "boy" still wants to play footy and another club more than eager to take him on knowing his attitude. Something went a miss somewhere too easy to just put all the onus on a kid - imo.

I like Suli too but I can understand a point is reached where his lack of professionalism impacts the playing squad. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the new "hard heads" were not consulted on the decision.

Our team is fairly clean cut now maybe that did not resonate with him.

The worst part of this is the young man suffers no real consequence for his lack of discipline. Another club signs him up on a similar contract and he can go back to sleeping in the car while his team mates train. I just do not understand how a young man on over $400k a year behaves in this way?

I agree something went amiss, and given the investment the club had in the "kid" and the effort they purportedly put in to retrieving the situation it appears to me that the onus sits squarely with the "kid". Sooner or later you have to take responsibility for your own actions, it's called growing up.

Funny i never had Suli in the 17 for the start of the season, Masters in my opinion is a much better player, not saying Suli isnt going to be a good player. Right decision by Management.

Well funnily enough the dogs just got rid of a 125kg player…...So I say fair play. I never liked his signing last year for someone who had played limited footy. Hopefully we're not paying a cent of his contract now.

We might still be paying 250k of his contract, so significantly less to sign someone else. Also which clubs are stupid enough to release good players at this stage of the season unless they have major cap dramas.

If he misses 12 games with his ankle injury, I will be very suspicious.

From what i have read it was Suli who wanted out - so we shouldn't be carrying any of his contract.

Would you be happy if one of your colleagues was not putting in and getting paid handsomely for it? I doubt it, and just like many of Moses' teammates, your fellows and most likely you yourself would want him gone as well.

He, and many like him, behave this way because they are over-indulged from a young age and do not understand that there are consequences for their actions. As a sporting society we pander to young up and coming stars. Look at Tomic. There was no consequence for Suli - he simply moved to another club. Mitchell Moses displayed abhorrent behaviour- no consequence, he simply moved on. Until we all agree that we must set behaviour and attitude standards this type of behaviour will continue. Of course we will never reach that agreement. We are reaping what we sow! BUT I am very impressed that Tigers management did in fact set a standard - good on them for this stance.

Disappointing, I had high hopes for him. At least Marsters slips in and doesn't get left out of the 17\. I couldn't find a place for him our first 17 beforehand.

Very true. What irks me is it now seems like a ploy to get out a contract these days. We had to put up with that tosser that went to Parra tanking in games to get a release. Now this guy just pulling the lazy and defiant card to get his own way. I don't give a toss about his reasons for wanting to leave. It has become the way of this current young generation to expect to get everything they want and if it isn't given to them immediately they will just throw a tantrum until they get it. Personally i hope he fails miserably at the dogs and ends a fat lazy park footballer who has to get a real job during the week.

Great Talent, but from reading all the chatter about it, it seems like the final solution may have been actioned by Suli & his manager. Its the only possible way we wont be paying any of his contract [if this is true].

Having a few extra pies in the off season doesnt worry me. Thats what the off season is for regardless what Ivan thinks. Being an douche on the drink as a 19yr old doesnt worry me either. Find me one that hasnt? I love the story about having a snooze while the boys are training… Best I've heard for a few years!

Alot of this sounds like Suli has a problem away from the field, so better the Tigers move him on instead of 'waiting' on his talent to be rewarding. Not too sure a move to the Bulldogs is a solution that will change much if his problems are off the field.

Maybe he will end up as a Rapper wearing gold chains and stuff?

What I like about this decision is the confirmation it gives to the rest of the team who are (hopefully) working their butts off that if you put in you'll be given every chance to play first grade but if you don't the door's over there.
